JOB OVERVIEW

I am a Christian hip-hop artist looking for an experienced Shopify website designer and developer to redesign and build my official artist website.

My current website is hosted on Shopify, and the new website must remain on Shopify. I need someone who understands both high-level creative design and Shopify development. This includes Shopify themes, Liquid, custom sections, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, animations, mobile optimization and merchandise functionality.

I am not looking for a basic website template with my photos and colors added to it. I want a modern, immersive and professional artist website that feels like its own creative world.

The creative direction should combine:

The professional structure and credibility of Lecrae and KB
The cinematic and personal storytelling of Ed Sheeran and Hozier
The modern Christian artist branding of Hulvey and Miles Minnick
The immersive creativity and world-building of Kenny Mason and Genesis Owusu

The website should clearly represent a Christian artist without looking like a generic church website, a basic Shopify store or a typical independent rapper website.

I also need the website to be built in a way that allows me or my team to easily update music, videos, merchandise, tour dates, photos and announcements without requiring a developer for every small change.

Who I Am Looking For

I am looking for someone who:

Has strong experience designing and developing Shopify websites
Understands Shopify Online Store 2.0 and Liquid
Can create custom Shopify sections and animations
Has excellent visual taste and understands modern artist branding
Has experience with musicians, artists, entertainment, fashion, creators or personal brands
Uses modern tools and AI to work faster and more efficiently
Speaks and writes English clearly
Communicates consistently and follows deadlines
Can complete the project quickly without sacrificing quality
Can remain available for occasional paid website updates after launch

Using AI tools is encouraged for research, wireframing, coding, testing and efficient execution. However, I am not looking for a generic AI-generated website. The finished product must still feel original, intentional and professionally designed.

Project Structure

This is a fixed-price project, not a permanent hourly position.

I am looking for someone who can complete the website in approximately 7 to 14 days after receiving all necessary content and access. I do not want the project dragged out for several months.

After the initial website is finished, there may be ongoing paid work for new releases, merchandise drops, tour dates, landing pages and other updates.
