Looking for an experienced video editor to edit 8–14 minute military/defense documentary-style YouTube videos from raw public-domain footage (DVIDS, NARA, allied MOD sources).
Please read before applying: this is a basic documentary edit style not a montage job. If your portfolio is footage cut to music with no sound design, pacing, or narration sync, please don't apply it saves us both time, and unqualified applications won't get a reply.
The work:
Turn a written script + sourced clip list into a finished video, VO timing, ambient sound design, pacing, captions/lower-thirds, chapter-ready cuts. Think History Channel/Real Engineering pacing, not a highlight reel.
You must be able to:
Work from a timed script with scene-by-scene shot references and follow it precisely
Handle captions, lower-third text, and simple motion graphics (maps, stat overlays)
Deliver a paced, broadcast-feeling documentary, not a stitched-together montage
Send with your application:
2–3 links to finished work in this style (military, engineering, history, or similar factual documentary content) YouTube links only, no "coming soon" reels
Your typical turnaround time for an 8–14 min video
Your rate per video, or a package of 20 videos with 2 shorts per video.
ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN DEAL WITH THIS VOLUME OF WORK
