ABOUT THE CHANNEL

My name is Paul Bernard II. I run a YouTube channel ---------- with 300,000 subscribers focused on faith, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. I post 2 long form videos per week and multiple Shorts per day. My content sits at the intersection of Biblical principles and real world ambition. I help believers build a life of purpose and freedom without slipping into a "get rich" message. Stewardship under God's authority, not prosperity gospel.

I'm looking for a reliable, skilled, part time video editor who can help me maintain and elevate the quality of my content as I scale. This is a long term opportunity for the right person. As the channel grows, your compensation and responsibilities grow with it.

WHAT YOU WILL EDIT

1. Long form YouTube videos, 8 per month (2 per week)
Talking head style, 10 to 30 minutes in length.
Full edit from raw footage. Cuts, pacing, B roll placement, colorgrading, motion graphics/animation, music, end screens.
Export thumbnail frame for my review.
Deliver within 48 hours of receiving raw footage.

2. YouTube Shorts, up to 30 per month
Clips pulled from long form videos, 60 to 90 seconds, best ---------- nts.
Talking head Shorts edited from raw vertical footage.
Captions, pacing cuts, branding consistent with channel style.

Raw footage is shot on a Panasonic s5IIX. All final exports should be 4K MOV and delivered via Dropbox.

REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or software equivalent (Capcut & Davinci Resolve are acceptable).
Strong portfolio of YouTube long form and Shorts edits specifically.
Excellent caption work. Accurate, well timed, visually clean.
Strong sense of pacing. You know when to cut and when to let a ---------- nt breathe.
Reliable with deadlines. 48 hour turnaround on long form edits is expected.
Communicative. Responds within 24 hours and flags issues early.
Comfortable working with faith based content. You do not have to share my beliefs but you must respect them.
Detail oriented. Consistency across videos matters (fonts, colors, caption style).
Open to a long term working relationship. I am not looking for a one off project.

PAID TEST EDIT

Before any hire, shortlisted candidates will complete a small paid test edit ($40 flat) so we can both confirm fit before committing to a long term arrangement. The test uses real raw footage and includes:

A 60 to 90 second vertical Short.
A 4 to 5 minute horizontal long form cutdown, cut linearly from the very beginning of the raw footage (not a highlight reel).
B roll used only to strengthen the first 30 seconds.
1 Youtube Thumbnail.
Final export as 4K MOV.

WORKFLOW

1. I upload raw footage and any notes to a shared Dropbox folder.
2. You edit and upload the draft back to the same folder within 48 hours.
3. I review and send feedback via Loom or voice note.
4. You revise (one round of revisions expected per video).
5. Final approved file uploaded and ready for me to publish.

Communication happens via WhatsApp, Slack, or email. Weekly check ins to align on the upcoming week's content.

COMPENSATION

$800 to $1000 USD per month depending on experience and output volume. Paid monthly on a fixed schedule.

This is a trial to long term opportunity structured as follows:

Month 1: $600/month. Trial period for both sides to evaluate fit.
Month 2 to 3: $700 to $800/month if work is consistently high quality.
Month 3+: $900+/month as output increases and trust is established.

Compensation continues to grow as the channel grows. I am looking for a long term creative partner, not just a freelancer, and I reward loyalty and excellence.

WHAT I AM NOT LOOKING FOR

Editors who use templates that look generic or mass produced.
Editors who require extensive hand holding on every video.
Editors who cannot meet consistent deadlines.
Editors who are unwilling to complete a short paid test edit before starting.

HOW TO APPLY

2. Which reference channel's style you feel most confident replicating and why. Be specific.

4. Confirmation that you are available and willing to complete a paid test edit within 48 hours of being shortlisted.
