Job Description

We’re looking for a reliable podcast audio editor based in the Philippines for consistent, ongoing work.

Our immediate requirement is editing long-form audio podcasts for a B2B founder. We expect to add video podcast production soon, so preference will be given to candidates who are excellent audio editors and can also demonstrate professional long-form video podcast work.

NOTE: Accurate transcripts are important to our clients. Your written and verbal English should be proficient.

This will initially be a per-episode contractor position.

• The expected recurring workload is approximately four new episodes per month.
• There may be additional work from an existing episode archive.
• Episodes are approximately one hour long.

We’re looking for someone interested in becoming a long-ter ---------- mber of a growing, process-driven podcast production team.

There will be strong incentives to stay with us as the company grows. This position could eventually develop into a Lead Editor role in which you perform quality assurance on other editors’ work and help lead an editing team.

Current Responsibilities

• Receive files through a Google Drive link in ClickUp.
• Upload files to Riverside, Descript, or another transcript-editing tool. Riverside is preferred.
• Edit solo and interview-style podcast recordings.
• Correct mistakes in the transcript.
• Edit speakers who may use English as a second language. The automatically generated transcript will contain mistakes that must be corrected.
• Remove verbal mistakes, coughs, interruptions, and awkward pauses.
• Tighten unnecessarily long pauses.
• Remove filler words such as “um” and “uh,” along with stutters and repeated words.
• Apply AI tools tastefully.
• Correct awkward cuts, chops, and edits created by automated tools.
• Apply smart audio processing to reduce background noise without making the recording sound unnatural.
• Balance speaker volume levels.
• Insert intros, outros, and music.
• Make prompt revisions based on manager feedback.
• Export and download completed files.
• Upload completed episodes to Buzzsprout.

Future Responsibilities

When video production is added, the role may expand to include:

• Synchronizing audio and video tracks.
• Editing long-form video interviews.
• Selecting appropriate camera layouts for the host, guest, or both speakers.
• Performing basic color and exposure correction.
• Adding supplied branded graphics.
• Exporting YouTube-ready video files.
• Potentially producing separately paid short-form video clips.

Video work will have a separately agreed-upon scope and rate. Applicants are not being asked to perform video work for the audio-only episode rate.
