JOB OVERVIEW

Our company is building a YouTube channel and personal brand that earns attention and keeps it. We record long-form episodes on a consistent schedule, and those episodes need to be edited into retention-built videos and clipped down into short-form content fast. That's where you come in. You are the engine that turns raw recordings into polished, ready-to-publish episodes and a steady stream of Reels, Shorts, and TikToks.

This is a consistent volume, deadline-driven role for an editor who treats reliable turnaround as the job, not a nice-to-have. We have a detailed brand and editing guideline you will follow closely, so this role suits an editor who likes a clear standard and hits it consistently.

THE PACE: FAST AND CONSISTENT

- The Window: You work daytime Philippines hours. Footage comes in at the end of the day in Calgary, Canada, and finished edits are returned on a set schedule.
- The Volume: Long-form episodes plus multiple short-form cuts per episode. Consistent, every week.
- The Standard: Fast does not mean sloppy. Every frame ships on-brand and clean the first time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Long-Form Episodes: Edit full YouTube episodes from raw footage into tight, retention-built videos. Cut dead air, tighten pacing, and layer in transitions, B-roll, and visual interest that hold attention from the first frame to the last.
- Retention Editing: Build hooks in the opening seconds, use pattern interrupts and pacing that keep viewers watching, and structure the episode so drop-off stays low.
- Motion & Graphics: Add animated text, lower thirds, callouts, and simple motion graphics that reinforce the point without cluttering the frame.
- Captions: Produce clean, accurate, on-brand captions and animated subtitles built for sound-off viewing.
- Short-Form Clipping: Pull the best ---------- nts from each episode and cut them into vertical Reels, Shorts, and TikToks with hooks, captions, music, and pacing built for engagement.
- Audio: Duck music under voiceover, clean and enhance audio to my levels, and mix to my delivery standard.
- Brand Guidelines: Learn my style guide (fonts, color codes, caption styles, transitions, thumbnails) early and apply it consistently so edits come back right the first time. Revisions are available when needed, but I'm looking for editors who get it right up front, not ones who rely on multiple rounds to land it.
- Workflow Discipline: Follow my folder structure and file-naming conventions, and return organized project files through my cloud system on schedule, every time.

NON-NEGOTIABLES (PLEASE CONFIRM EACH IN YOUR APPLICATION):

This role lives or dies on reliable turnaround, so your setup matters as much as your skill.

- Location: You must be in or near a major metro (Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, or similar). I'm not allotting hours for slow upload and download, and I can't have WiFi be the reason an edit is late.
- Internet: Stable wired fiber connection, 100 Mbps up and down preferred (50 Mbps absolute minimum), with no daily downtime. A backup connection is a strong plus.
- Computer: A current, high-spec editing machine that handles long-form 4K footage without lag. List your exact specs (CPU, RAM, GPU, storage).
- Software: Your own licensed editing suite (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or CapCut Pro) optimized for fast workflows.

THE MUST-HAVES FOR SUCCESS:

- Deadline-Driven: A finished edit at the agreed time, every time. Reliability is the whole game.
- Experienced: You've edited long-form YouTube content and short-form social before and can show it. You understand retention editing and what keeps a viewer watching.
- Self-Sufficient: You follow brand guidelines closely and nail edits with minimal revisions. You solve problems without hand-holding.
- Consistent: You can do this every single week at a high standard, not just on your best day.

HOW TO APPLY:

To show me you read this, start your application with the word "Rolling" Then send:

- A Demo Reel: Your best long-form YouTube edit (link the full video, not just a sizzle reel) plus one or two short-form clips you cut.
- Your Setup: Internet speed (link a speed test screenshot), full computer specs, and your editing software.
- Your Location: City and your internet provider.
- Retention Approach: One or two sentences on how you keep viewers watching a long-form episode.
- Turnaround Proof: A short note on a time you delivered quality work fast under a tight deadline.

We review every application that follows these steps.
