About the Role:
We are seeking a detail - oriented and experienced HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing payroll operations, supporting HR functions, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with ADP Workforce Now and will undergo training on our internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with company practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including wage calculations, deductions, and adjustments.
Compliance Management: Ensure payroll and HR practices comply with Maryland and Pennsylvania labor laws and federal regulations.
Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries.
HR Administration: Assist with onboarding, employee records, and HR documentation.
Reporting: Generate and maintain payroll and HR reports for management review.
Process Improvement: Learn and apply company SOPs to streamline HR and payroll workflows.
Requirements:
ADP Workforce Experience: Hands - on experience with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.
Payroll Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
HR Background: Prior experience in HR support, employee relations, or benefits administration.
State-Specific Compliance: Familiarity with Maryland and Pennsylvania employment laws.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with employees and management.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and follow company SOPs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree: In Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in HR/Payroll or a closely related role.
Experience with multi - state payroll processing.
Knowledge of benefits administration and HRIS systems.
Strong problem - solving and analytical skills.
