Business Development & Operations Coordinator – Home Care & NEMT
About Us
We operate two growing healthcare service companies in Northern Virginia: a home care agency providing personal care services and a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) company providing ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher transportation.
We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Business Development & Operations Coordinator who can help us attract new clients, build referral relationships, identify contract opportunities, strengthen our online presence, and support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Referrals
Build relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing facilities, assisted-living communities, dialysis centers, case managers, social workers, and healthcare organizations.
Contact potential referral partners by phone,
Follow up consistently with referral sources and prospective clients.
Identify opportunities to grow private-pay home care and NEMT services.
Maintain an organized record of contacts, leads, follow-ups, and outcomes.
Represent the companies at community events, networking events, and healthcare meetings.
Contracts and Growth Opportunities
Search for government, healthcare, transportation, and subcontracting opportunities.
Monitor SAM.gov and other bidding platforms for relevant solicitations.
Assist with capability statements, proposals, applications, and bid submissions.
Research transportation brokers, Medicaid MCOs, hospitals, facilities, and other potential partners.
Track submission deadlines and required documents.
Help identify new revenue opportunities and practical ways to scale both businesses.
Marketing and Social Media
Create and schedule consistent content for
Develop posts that promote home care, wheelchair transportation, stretcher transportation, hiring opportunities, and community services.
Respond professionally to online inquiries and direct potential clients to the appropriate company contact.
Help improve local brand awareness, website traffic, engagement, and lead generation.
Assist with flyers, brochures,
Operations Support
Assist with day-to-day administrative responsibilities for the home care and NEMT businesses.
Help coordinate client inquiries, referrals, appointments, and follow-ups.
Support driver and caregiver recruitment, onboarding, and document collection.
Maintain organized digital and physical records.
Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, drivers, facilities, and business partners.
Help management track operational issues and complete time-sensitive tasks.
Protect confidential client and company information.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, dependable, organized, and comfortable following up with people.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
Comfortable making outreach calls and introducing the company to potential partners.
Basic knowledge of social media, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online research.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn healthcare, home care, NEMT, Medicaid, and government-contracting requirements.
Reliable transportation for occasional local outreach and meetings.
Preferred Experience
Business development, healthcare administration, home care, NEMT, sales, marketing, or office management.
Working with hospitals, case managers, social workers, Medicaid organizations, or healthcare facilities.
Preparing proposals, responding to government bids, or using SAM.gov.
Social media management, content creation, or lead generation.
Experience with healthcare compliance or confidential client information.
