Part-Time Squarespace Website Designer and Editor
Saltwater Coaching & Consulting is looking for a reliable, creative, and detail-oriented Squarespace Website Designer and Editor to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis.
We need someone who can take website direction, brand guidelines, copy, images, and examples and turn them into clean, professional, conversion-focused Squarespace pages.
This is not a role for someone who only knows how to update text or swap photos. We are looking for someone with a strong design eye who understands layout, visual hierarchy, mobile responsiveness, branding, user experience, and how to create websites that feel polished and easy to navigate.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Designing and editing Squarespace websites
Creating landing pages, sales pages, service pages, and opt-in pages
Updating existing website pages
Building new pages from provided copy and direction
Formatting text, images, buttons, forms, and page sections
Applying brand colors, fonts, graphics, and design guidelines
Improving page layout, spacing, and visual flow
Making sure pages are mobile responsive
Connecting buttons, forms, links, and calls to action
Uploading and formatting blogs, videos, downloads, and resources
Creating clean website banners and simple graphics when needed
Checking pages for broken links, formatting issues, and design inconsistencies
Making revisions based on feedback
You may also be asked to:
Create basic Squarespace pop-ups and announcement bars
Connect contact forms and
Update navigation menus and footers
Add testimonials, FAQs, and resource sections
Improve existing pages so they look more modern and professional
Create page sections using Squarespace Fluid Engine
Add basic custom CSS when needed
Support basic SEO setup, including page titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, and URL slugs
Required Skills and Experience
You must have:
Previous professional experience designing and editing Squarespace websites
A strong portfolio with links to live Squarespace websites you personally worked on
Experience using Squarespace 7.1 and Fluid Engine
A strong creative eye for clean, modern, professional website design
A good understanding of user experience and conversion-focused design
Experience designing for both desktop and mobile
Strong attention to detail
The ability to follow brand guidelines and design direction
Strong written English and communication skills
Reliable internet access
The ability to meet deadlines consistently
The ability to receive feedback and make revisions without needing excessive direction
Experience designing websites for therapists, coaches, consultants, service-based businesses, or personal brands is preferred.
Experience with Canva, basic CSS, SEO,
Turnaround Expectations
You must be able to provide:
Small website updates within 1 to 2 business days
New landing pages or standard website pages within 3 to 5 business days
Larger website projects based on an agreed-upon timeline
You must communicate early if there is ever an issue that may affect a deadline.

Paid Test Project
Final candidates will be asked to complete a small paid Squarespace design test before being hired.
The test may include editing or redesigning a website section using provided branding, copy, images, and direction. This will allow us to evaluate your design quality, attention to detail, communication, ability to follow instructions, mobile responsiveness, and turnaround time.
