Job Title:
Ecommerce Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time, Long-Term) — Google Ads & Shopify
Schedule: Flexible, but must overlap 2 hours per day with US Eastern Time (typically 8:00 AM–10:00 AM EST works)
Job Type: Part-time, ongoing (long-term role, not a project)
About the Role
I'm a US-based marketing consultant looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Ecommerce Marketing Coordinator to help me run day-to-day marketing for a beauty and skincare brand I manage. The brand has a Shopify store and does approximately $1M USD in annual revenue.
You will be my right hand for executing the monthly marketing plan. I set the strategy and the priorities. You execute the work, manage the schedule, and keep me informed.
This is a long-term role. If we're a good match, this will grow into more hours, more clients, and more responsibility over time. I am looking for someone who wants to stay and grow with me, not someone looking for short-term work.
What You Will Do Each Week
Manage Google Ads campaigns (search and shopping): weekly optimization, negative keywords, bid and budget adjustments, monitoring performance
Update Shopify content: banners, homepage promo blocks, product page updates, coordinating with our web developer when bigger changes are needed
Pull weekly performance reports from Google Ads, Shopify, and GA4 into a Google Sheets dashboard I will provide
Coordinate with our Amazon marketing contractor: weekly check-in on Amazon ad performance, flag anything unusual
Support
Attend one 30-minute weekly check-in call with me (Monday mornings, US Eastern Time)
Keep our task board updated in Notion (or ClickUp) so I always know status
What You Will Do Each Month
Build the monthly performance report (I will provide the template)
Review and optimize existing Google Ads campaigns
Help plan next month's marketing calendar based on my strategic direction
Suggest small improvements based on what's working and what isn't
What You Will NOT Do
Talk directly to the client (I handle all client communication)
Set the marketing strategy (I set it; you execute it)
Build new websites or landing pages (that's a separate contractor)
Write blog posts or do SEO content
Manage
Amazon listing writing or Amazon PPC (separate contractor)
Required Skills and Experience
You must have real hands-on experience with these tools. Please do not apply if you have only watched tutorials or done coursework.
Google Ads for ecommerce: minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing campaigns, including search and shopping. You must be comfortable operating an account independently, not just following instructions.
Shopify admin: comfortable navigating the Shopify backend, pulling reports, updating content, and working with apps
Google Analytics 4 (GA4): able to pull reports on traffic, conversions, and revenue by channel
Google Sheets: pivot tables, basic formulas, chart building, keeping trackers organized
Excellent written English: You will communicate with me in writing every day. Clear, direct, professional English is required. Please do not apply if English is not strong.
Reliable internet and workspace: at least 25 Mbps, backup power, quiet workspace for calls
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience with beauty, skincare, wellness, or CPG brands
Klaviyo
Meta Ads
Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central
Experience using ChatGPT or Claude for marketing work
Basic HTML or Canva skills
Who I'm Looking For
The right person is:
Reliable and consistent. You show up on time, hit deadlines, and don't disappear.
Proactive. You don't wait for me to ask; you flag issues and suggest fixes.
Organized. You keep clean records, update trackers without being reminded, and never lose track of a task.
Curious. You want to understand why we're doing something, not just check the box.
Long-term minded. You want to grow with me, not job-hop after 6 months.
I will invest heavily in the right person, including training, expanded scope, and pay increases as we bring on more clients.
How to Apply
I get many applications, so please follow these instructions exactly. Applications that skip any of the questions below will be ignored.
In your reply, please include:
Introduce yourself briefly. Your name, where you're based in the Philippines, and one thing about you outside of work.
Answer these three questions:
a. Walk me through the last Google Ads account you worked on. What did you inherit, what did you change in the first 30 days, and what happened to performance? Please be specific with numbers where you can.
b. Imagine you take over a Shopify store doing $75,000/month in revenue. Google Ads ROAS drops from 4x to 2x in a single week. What are the first three things you check?
c. How do you keep track of recurring monthly work across multiple channels and multiple deadlines? Describe your actual system.
Tell me about your current work situation. Are you employed full-time, freelancing, or looking? How many hours per week are you truly available for this role?
Share links to any relevant work, portfolios, LinkedIn, or references. If you don't have public work to show, describe a project you're proud of.
Include this phrase at the top of your reply so I know you read the entire post: "I love digital marketing."
Timing
I plan to review applications for one week, then interview the top 5 candidates over video call. My goal is to have someone hired and onboarded within 2 weeks.
I am serious about hiring the right person and I will move quickly for the right fit.
Thank you for reading. I look forward to your application.
