YouTube Thumbnail Designer — Davao City (Hybrid)

Location: Davao City — Davao-based applicants only
Setup: Hybrid (work-from-home + our Davao City studio)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PHT

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a YouTube Thumbnail Designer for Shane Hummus, a leading career and finance YouTube channel. The thumbnail is the highest-leverage asset on every video we publish — it d ---------- whether a video gets clicked at all. This role owns that decision point.

You'll produce 30 thumbnails per week (3 A/B test variants for each of 10 videos) and iterate based on real click-through data, working directly with our content and video production teams at the Davao studio.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Design 30 thumbnails weekly — 3 A/B variants per video across 10 videos
- Build click-focused visuals around talking-head footage: facial expressions, text hierarchy, and color contrast that read at small sizes
- Iterate on performance — CTR data d ---------- which variants win, and the next batch reflects it
- Collaborate with the content team on packaging strategy for upcoming videos
- Keep the channel's visual identity consistent while testing new creative directions

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

- Proven YouTube thumbnail experience — your portfolio must include thumbnails that ran on real YouTube channels, with links to the videos or channels they appeared on
- Strong command of composition, color theory, and visual hierarchy designed for small-screen legibility
- Photoshop proficiency (Figma and Canva as secondary tools)
- Ability to sustain high volume on deadline — 30 assets per week is the standing pace
- Based in Davao City and available for the hybrid setup

STRONGLY PREFERRED

- Thumbnail experience on talking-head, podcast, or educational/commentary channels — face-driven thumbnails are the core of this job
