JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing financial data, processing transactions, following up on overdue invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an organization with a few large transactions a month and recurring transactions, a well versed bookkeeper would be able to handle this very quickly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our financial database, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Process transactions, including invoices, payments, and journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and other external financial records
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Follow up with payers using predefined templates to ensure invoices are paid.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience as an accountant or bookkeeper
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to learn new softwares
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good Communication Skills

Schedule:
- Part-time position with flexible schedule to accommodate your needs
- One scheduled check-in meeting per week on Chicago time (e.g., Wednesday at 10am CT)
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
