Location: Remote (Philippines Preferred)
Hours: Part-Time (Approximately 10–15 hours per week)

/// About Us

City Prepping is one of the largest emergency preparedness channels on YouTube, helping more than one million subscribers better prepare themselves and their families through practical education.

We’re entering an exciting new chapter.

Rather than producing weekly news videos, we’re now creating documentary-style YouTube videos that explain important trends affecting food, energy, infrastructure, weather, economics, and preparedness.

We’re looking for someone who loves visual storytelling and wants to help make every documentary more engaging and more cinematic.

This is not a traditional virtual assistant position.

This is a creative role.

/// Your Mission

Your job is not simply to find stock footage.

Your job is to help transform every documentary into a compelling visual story.

You’ll work closely with our writer, editor, and founder to help communicate complex ideas through visuals that educate, explain, and keep viewers engaged.

Every visual should strengthen the story.

/// What You’ll Do

-- Select and organize visual assets that strengthen the documentary.
-- Build visual sequences that help explain complex ideas.

* Asset Research

Use resources such as:

-- Storyblocks
-- Shutterstock
-- Public domain resources
-- Government imagery
-- Historical archives

to locate high-quality visual assets.

* AI-Assisted Content Creation

When appropriate, use AI tools to create visuals that stock footage cannot effectively communicate.

This may include:

-- AI images
-- AI video
-- Concept illustrations
-- Maps
-- Visual explanations

Experience with current AI creative tools is a plus, but a willingness to continuously learn is even more important.

* Graphic Design

Occasionally create simple:

-- maps
-- timelines
-- callouts
-- comparison graphics
-- basic infographics

to help explain documentary topics.

/// What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

-- Creative
-- Curious
-- Detail-oriented
-- Organized
-- Reliable
-- Able to work independently
-- Passionate about visual storytelling

You do not need to be an expert in every AI tool.

Technology changes quickly.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys learning and experimenting with new creative tools.

/// Required Skills

-- Excellent English reading comprehension
-- Strong organizational skills
-- Experience sourcing stock footage
-- Basic graphic design skills
-- Photoshop (or equivalent)
-- Ability to clearly communicate with a remote team

/// Bonus Skills

Experience with:

-- AI image generation
-- AI video generation
-- Documentary production
-- Premiere Pro
-- Motion graphics
-- YouTube production
-- Thumbnail design

are all considered a plus, but are not required.

/// Compensation

-- Approximately 10–15 hours per week
-- Around $800 USD/month, depending on experience
-- Long-term opportunity with room for growth
-- Paid test for finalists

/// Our Hiring Process

* Step 1

Submit your application.

* Step 2

If selected, we’ll schedule a short interview.

* Step 3

Finalists will complete a paid creative test.

We believe your time has value, so everyone who completes the test according to the instructions will be paid.

/// How to Apply

To help us identify applicants who pay close attention to detail, please include the word:

Beehive

as the first word in your email subject line.

Please include:

-- A short introduction about yourself.
-- Your OnlineJobs.ph profile.
-- Your resume.
-- Links to three creative projects you’re most proud of.
-- A brief explanation of why you chose those three projects.
-- A list of the AI creative tools you’ve personally used (if any).

We review every application personally and look forward to seeing your work.
