JOB OVERVIEW

Metal Building Contracts & Preconstruction Coordinator
About the Role

We're looking for an experienced metal building professional to join our operations team. This is not an entry-level administrative position. We're seeking someone who already understands the metal building industry, manufacturer pricing, engineering requirements, and the contract administration process.

The ideal candidate has worked for a metal building manufacturer, dealer, or design/build contractor and can help bridge the gap between sales, design, engineering, and operations.

If you've priced metal buildings, coordinated engineering, managed manufacturer relationships, or facilitated contracts from proposal through order, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Do
Prepare and review customer contracts and purchase agreements
Coordinate signatures, deposits, financing documents, and project documentation
Review pricing for accuracy before contracts are finalized
Work with multiple metal building manufacturers to verify pricing, options, and lead times
Coordinate with sales, design, estimating, and engineering teams
Audit building specifications to ensure they align with customer proposals
Track contracts through approval, production, and release
Maintain organized project documentation and CRM records
Help develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal documentation
Assist in building scalable operational systems as the company continues to grow
Preferred Experience

We're looking for someone with experience in several of the following:

3+ years in the pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) industry
Experience with manufacturers such as Nucor, Ceco, American Buildings, Chief Buildings, Behlen, or similar
Metal building estimating and pricing
Reading architectural and structural drawings
Building takeoffs and specification review
Engineering and manufacturer coordination
Contract administration
Order entry and project coordination
Knowledge of building components, accessories, and design options

Able to identify discrepancies before they become costly mistakes
Strong with numbers, pricing, and documentation
An excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with multiple departments
Interested in helping build systems that make the company more efficient
Nice to Have
Experience with MBS (Metal Building Software)
Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar construction software
CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
Construction accounting or ERP software experience
Lean process improvement or operations experience
