Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in QuickBooks and possess a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping. This is a part-time position requiring 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and manage financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Process invoices, payments, and expenses in a timely manner.
• Generate financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes.
• Provide support during annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll processing and management.
• Familiarity with IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts) trust accounting required.
• Comfortable using AI tools to support accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
• Experience with Clio is a plus.
