The Health Navigator serves as the dedicated advocate and guide for patients traveling abroad for medical care. This role combines elements of patient advocacy, concierge service, and care coordination—ensuring each client experiences a seamless journey from first inquiry through post-procedure recovery. The Health Navigator is the single point of contact, bridging communication between patients, providers, and partner services.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Advocacy & Support
Serve as the trusted liaison for patients, ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed with clarity and empathy.
Educate patients about their procedure, care pathway, and recovery expectations.
Provide reassurance and guidance throughout the medical travel experience.
Care Coordination
Manage patient records, medical histories, and pre-screening forms.
Facilitate scheduling of consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, physicians, and allied providers to ensure continuity of care.
Travel & Logistics
Assist patients in arranging flights, accommodations, and local transportation.
Oversee transfer of medical records, insurance, and payment documentation.
Coordinate recovery services, including aftercare, wellness activities, and discharge planning.
Communication
Provide regular updates to patients, families, and providers.
Translate clinical information into clear, patient-friendly language.
Act as the cultural and service bridge between international patients and local providers.
Qualifications
Background in healthcare, nursing, medical administration, or patient advocacy strongly preferred.
Experience in hospitality, travel, or concierge services a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Compassionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Language skill, fluent English (native, or near native speaker). Strong consideration given for bilingual with Spanish conversational fluency
