HR / Operations Support Center Specialist (Remote, US Central Time)
About the Role
This is a fully remote opportunity supporting one of the largest retail merchandising companies in the United States, with over 15,000 field employees nationwide. As an Operations Support Center Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for employees across the US, guiding them through onboarding, the new hire stage, and day-to-day HR concerns.
What You'll Do
- Answer inbound calls and resolve employee HR concerns, escalating to Field Leadership when needed
- Contact candidates within 48 hours of PIF generation and follow up until all paperwork is complete
- Conduct new hire outreach to confirm Terms of Work acceptance and work availability
- Schedule new hire training calls, track completion, and arrange in-person training
- Review the overtime dashboard, complete daily and weekly reporting, and perform photo audits
- Coach and counsel employees as needed
- Track missing-in-action employees, complete contact attempts, and document outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Experience in customer service, call center, HR, or a similar phone-heavy support role
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Self-discipline to work independently from home and stay responsive to inbound calls throughout the shift
- Availability to work full-time on US Central Time hours
- Reliable computer, headset, and stable internet with a backup connection
- A quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for handling confidential employee information
- Flexibility and a team-first attitude
