JOB OVERVIEW

We are a UK based business consultancy working with trades and construction businesses. We are looking for a Google Business Profile optimisation specialist to set up, optimise, and manage Google Business Profiles for our clients, helping them rank higher locally and generate more enquiries through Google Search and Maps.

This is ongoing work across multiple client accounts, not a one off project, so we are looking for someone reliable who can manage several profiles at once and keep them consistently updated over time.

What you will be doing
- Setting up new Google Business Profiles from scratch, including category selection, service areas, and verification
- Auditing and improving existing profiles that are underperforming or incomplete
- Writing and optimising business descriptions, service listings, and posts using relevant local keywords
- Managing photos, posts, and updates on a regular schedule to keep profiles active
- Monitoring and responding to reviews, and advising clients on review generation
- Tracking ranking and visibility changes and reporting on progress
- Keeping up to date with Google's changing guidelines and algorithm updates for local search

What we are looking for
- Proven experience optimising Google Business Profiles for multiple businesses, ideally in trades, construction, or local service industries
- Solid understanding of local SEO and how Google ranks businesses in the map pack
- Comfortable managing several client accounts at once, with strong organisation and attention to detail
- Good written English, since you will be writing descriptions and posts on behalf of client businesses
- Reliable and able to work independently, meeting agreed deadlines without chasing
