Position Summary:
EJF is seeking an experienced Recruiter/HR Generalist to support our growing organization. This hybrid role is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, administering day-to-day HR operations, maintaining HRIS data integrity, and overseeing employee offboarding and transitions. The ideal candidate brings strong recruiting expertise coupled with broad HR generalist experience, ensuring consistent, efficient, and professional employee experience across all EJF entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for roles across EJF and affiliated entities, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Compose and update job descriptions, including salary recommendations, to reflect current role requirements.
- Develop and maintain recruitment branding initiatives such as job postings, social media presence, and participation in career fairs to attract top talent.
- Coordinate background and reference checks; collaborate with hiring managers on onboarding/training plans; and ensure completion of required new-hire paperwork.
- Oversee onboarding logistics by coordinating with IT, Training, and department managers to ensure timely setup of technology, system access, and required resources.
- Oversee offboarding logistics, coordinate exit interviews, distribute separation materials, recover company property, and revoke system access.
- Maintain accurate employment data in the HRIS and generate reports on key HR metrics, including turnover, headcount, and employee demographics.
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes; refer complex matters to the Director of HR.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws across all HR processes.
- Support and contribute to HR initiatives and projects aimed at improving employee engagement, organizational culture, and HR process efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of HR and recruiting experience?(preferably within property management, real estate, or professional services).
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
- Proficiency using?HRIS systems (Paylocity strongly preferred)?and applicant tracking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, etc.)
- Proficiency using project management software (
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting multi-state workforce is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated success managing recruiting alongside generalist responsibilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, confidentiality, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hyper-growing environment.
Working Conditions:
- This is a fully remote position. Applicants must meet certain requirements for a working computer and consent to our IT department conducting an analysis of the computer for cybersecurity and safety purposes.
Expected Work Times:
- Candidates are generally expected to work during U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
- The candidate must be available during working hours for meetings and accessible by phone/text during the workday.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM EST (with a 30-minute unpaid break)
Time Tracking:
- Use of Hubstaff time-tracking software is required while performing work.
* This is a full-time contract position. Payments are made via Wise on the 15th and 30th of each month. While this is a contractor role, we do offer a variety of perks for our contractors.
