ABOUT THE ROLE
This role provides dedicated marketing and social media support for a remote operation, with a focus on building brand presence and driving audience engagement across relevant platforms. You will plan, create, and manage content while identifying opportunities to improve reach and engagement, working within the marketing and communications function.
This is not a guesswork role. Content guidelines, brand assets, and platform access are provided and training will be given. The expectation is straightforward -- do the job well, communicate proactively, and ask when unsure rather than assume.

A content calendar established and consistently maintained across relevant platforms
Posts scheduled and published on time with consistent brand voice and visual style
Comments and messages monitored and responded to promptly
A first performance report delivered, tracking key content and engagement metrics
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Planning and Creation
- Develop and maintain a content calendar across relevant social media platforms
- Create, schedule, and publish posts, including copy and basic graphics
- Assist with basic
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and content produced
Community Management and Research
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and support community management
- Research trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to inform content strategy
- Coordinate on campaign ideas, promotions, and content themes
- Flag opportunities for paid promotion or campaign boosts, where relevant
Reporting
- Track performance metrics and prepare regular reporting on content and campaign performance
TOOLS YOU WILL USE
- Content and Scheduling: Social media scheduling and management tools
- Design: Basic graphic design tools for content creation
- Analytics: Analytics and reporting tools for tracking performance
- Documentation: Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
- Productivity: Google Workspace and Spreadsheets
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience developing and managing social media content calendars
- Proficiency with social media scheduling and management tools
- Basic graphic design skills for content creation
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools to track performance
- Strong writing skills for social media captions and basic content
- Proactive communicator -- over-communicates rather than under-communicates
- Knows when to problem-solve independently and when to escalate
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
High-speed, stable internet connection with backup data in case of power outages or service interruptions
Mobile phones, tablets, and iPads are not accepted as primary work devices
A computer capable of running scheduling, design, and analytics tools reliably
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
- Part-time, fully remote
- Days and hours to be confirmed upon hire, Australian Business Hours
- Ongoing engagement with no fixed end date
