We are pro se plaintiffs in an active Broward County, Florida civil case involving landlord liability, unsafe rental-property conditions, personal injuries, damages, discovery, and trial preparation.
We are seeking an experienced Philippines-based attorney to provide high-level behind-the-scenes litigation support. This is not a virtual-assistant or document-formatting role. We need someone with real litigation experience, strong English writing skills, and the ability to help organize and prepare a serious case for mediation, pretrial deadlines, and trial.
## Case Background
The case involves damages arising from a rented property, including alleged unsafe housing conditions, failure to repair, personal injuries, medical treatment, and loss of consortium. The available insurance coverage appears to be approximately $100,000, but we believe the damages may exceed that amount if properly supported by evidence and Florida law.
## What We Need Help With
The selected attorney will help us:
* Review pleadings, court orders, discovery, medical records, photos, communications, and prior attorney work
* Identify strengths, weaknesses, missing evidence, and procedural risks
* Build a clear case chronology and trial-preparation plan
* Review landlord-liability, premises-liability, and damages issues
* Organize medical records and damages evidence
* Help analyze damages above the apparent $100,000 insurance issue, where legally supported
* Assist with discovery issues, expert needs, mediation preparation, and pretrial documents
* Prepare first drafts of motions, notices, legal memoranda, hearing notes, witness outlines, exhibit lists, and trial materials
## Required Experience
Applicants must be attorneys with meaningful litigation experience.
Preferred experience includes:
* U.S. civil litigation support
* Florida civil litigation support
* Landlord-tenant or rental-property disputes
* Premises liability
* Personal injury damages
* Medical-record review
* Discovery and trial preparation
* Mediation preparation
* Legal research and drafting for U.S. attorneys or pro se litigants
Florida-specific experience is strongly preferred.
## What We Are Looking For
We need someone who can think like a litigator, not just rewrite documents.
You must be able to:
* Analyze facts and evidence
* Research Florida law accurately
* Verify every case, rule, statute, and citation
* Separate strong arguments from weak ones
* Identify what is missing before trial
* Organize a messy case file
* Draft clearly and professionally
* Meet deadlines
* Maintain strict confidentiality
No fabricated cases, invented citations, or unsupported legal conclusions.
## Important Scope Limitation
This is a behind-the-scenes litigation-support role.
Unless you are licensed in Florida, you will not appear in court, sign pleadings, act as attorney of record, communicate with opposing counsel as our attorney, or engage in the unauthorized practice of Florida law.
Final filings and court decisions will remain with the pro se plaintiffs and any Florida-licensed attorney retained for limited-scope review.
## Paid Test Assignment
The first assignment will be a paid case-review project. You may be asked to review key documents and provide:
* A case status report
* A damages assessment
* A list of strengths, weaknesses, and missing evidence
* A trial-readiness plan
* Recommendations for next steps
## How to Apply
Begin your application with:

Then briefly answer:
1. Are you an attorney, and where are you admitted?
2. What U.S. or Florida litigation experience do you have?
