ABOUT DROOL
DROOL is a curated art print brand working with emerging and established artists. Every piece we sell has to hold up in print, from small gallery-wall prints right up to extra large statement pieces. This role exists to protect that quality bar.
The role
You'll be the person who reviews artwork files as artists submit them, checks whether they meet our print standards, and d
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Review incoming artwork files, mostly digital work (vector, digital painting, Procreate, Illustrator and Photoshop files) as well as scanned originals.
Check each file against our core print ratios (A-series such as A0, plus 4:5 and 2:3) and the pixel dimensions we need at 300 DPI.
Soft-proof every file in Photoshop: rulers set to inches, zoom in to 100 to 120 percent, and inspect for crisp lines, clean edges, and no pixelation, blur, or low-resolution textures laid over otherwise clean artwork.
D
Flag issues clearly back to the artist, request higher-resolution versions where needed, and re-check resubmissions.
Set up and launch approved artworks at the correct sizes.
Keep quality consistent across a steady weekly volume, with larger batches around collection launches.
What we're looking for
A strong understanding of graphic design and print production: resolution, DPI, print ratios, and the difference between vector and raster work.
Confident in Photoshop, checking image size, soft-proofing, and reading resolution. Familiarity with Illustrator and Procreate files is a plus.
A sharp eye for detail. You can spot pixelation, blur, or a low-res texture at a glance.
Fluent written English, since you'll be giving clear feedback directly to artists.
Reliable and self-managing. Comfortable taking feedback and iterating while you get to grips with our standards, then running with it independently.
