JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to: Commercial Manager
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm UK time (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday
Rate: $12–$16 USD per hour, depending on experience

Summary of Role
Do you want to be part of a fast-paced, young and entrepreneurial business? Velocity Commerce was born in Cambridge, UK in 2012 and has grown into an award-winning business working across Amazon marketplace growth and the home audio retail sector. Whether we are developing Amazon marketplace strategies or launching new products across our audio range, we work in a fast-moving, commercially focused environment where ideas are welcome, ownership is encouraged, and performance matters.

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Amazon PPC Specialist (3+ years' hands-on experience minimum) to take ownership of and grow Amazon advertising activity across our catalogue, assisting in the management of circa £1.5m in annual PPC spend. This is a senior, results-driven role for someone who can deliver from day one, not learn on the job. The successful candidate will have proven, hands-on experience with Amazon Ads Console and Pacvue (or a similar advanced Amazon advertising platform), ideally with exposure to Amazon DSP and Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), and a demonstrable track record of optimising PPC campaigns and driving measurable commercial results.

This role would suit a highly experienced, commercially minded Amazon PPC specialist with a strong track record of taking ownership of advertising performance and delivering results. Performance in this role will be judged against clear PPC spend efficiency and TACoS targets, so we need someone who can prove real, delivered impact, not just theoretical knowledge.

The Role
As Senior Amazon PPC Specialist, you will assist in managing circa £1.5m of annual Amazon advertising spend, taking ownership of PPC performance across our catalogue, managing bids, budgets, targeting and reporting across Amazon Ads Console, Pacvue (or a similar tool) and Amazon DSP. You will identify performance issues and opportunities, recommend data-led actions, and work closely with internal teams across content, stock, category and commercial planning to improve advertising performance and profitability.

Main Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Amazon PPC campaigns across multiple marketplaces
- Build, monitor and improve campaigns within Amazon Ads Console
- Use Pacvue or a similar tool to review bids, budgets, pacing and performance trends
- Work across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display
- Manage bid strategies across manual and automated campaigns, including placement and keyword/target-level adjustments
- Apply dayparting (hour-of-day and day-of-week scheduling) to optimise spend efficiency
- Set, monitor and pace budgets across campaigns and marketplaces to hit spend and TACoS targets
- Carry out ongoing negative keyword and negative ASIN targeting ("negating") to eliminate wasted spend
- Track and act on search term, conversion and seasonal trends to inform bid and budget decisions
- Support DSP activity, audience targeting and performance reporting
- Assist with AMC analysis, insight generation and action planning
- Carry out keyword research, search term analysis and ASIN targeting
- Use Helium 10 for keyword research, tracking and competitor analysis
- Produce clear performance reports with practical recommendations

Key Skills/Competencies

Essential:
- Minimum 3+ years' proven, hands-on experience managing Amazon PPC accounts, with clear evidence of results delivered
- Strong working knowledge of Amazon Ads Console
- Essential, non-negotiable: hands-on experience using Pacvue or a similar advanced Amazon advertising management tool
- Advanced bid management experience, manual and automated bidding, with placement and keyword/target-level adjustments
- Practical experience with dayparting / hour-of-day scheduling to optimise performance
- Strong budget management and pacing skills across multiple campaigns and marketplaces
- Rigorous approach to negative keyword and negative ASIN targeting ("negating") to eliminate wasted spend
- Comfortable identifying and acting on performance trends (search term, conversion, seasonality) to protect and improve TACoS
- Experience using Helium 10 for keyword research, tracking and analysis
- Strong, proven strategy experience across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display
- Proven, demonstrable track record of optimising PPC campaigns and improving spend efficiency / TACoS, able to give concrete examples, not just theory
- Confident with Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and analysis
- Able to spot issues quickly and make performance-led decisions
- Proactive, analytical and commercially minded
- Comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day PPC activity
- Strong attention to detail and organised working style
- Clear written English and confident communication

Desirable (but not essential):
- Familiarity with Seller Legend or similar Amazon analytics and reporting tools
- Amazon DSP experience preferred but not essential
- Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) experience preferred but not essential
- Experience working with a consumer product catalogue, ideally within home audio or electronics
- Experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns across multiple UK and EU marketplaces
- Experience running paid social media ads (e.g. Meta Ads) and/or Google Ads, alongside Amazon advertising

Screening Questions (please answer in your application):
1. Walk us through a Pacvue (or similar tool) campaign you personally restructured, what was the problem, what did you change, and what was the measurable impact on TACoS or spend efficiency?
2. Walk us through how you approach bid management and dayparting on a live campaign, how do you d ---------- when to adjust bids by placement or time of day, and how do you handle negative keyword/ASIN management to control wasted spend?
3. What PPC spend / TACoS targets have you been personally accountable for in your last role, and how did your actual results compare to target?
