Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA (CBTA USA) is a highly prestigious, premium martial arts institution based in Los Angeles, California, with over 23 years of rich history in the United States.
We are proudly recognized as the most authentic Tai Chi academy in Los Angeles, holding a direct lineage from Chenjiagou, China—the historical birthplace of Tai Chi (Taijiquan). We pride ourselves on cultural preservation, elite-level instruction, and professional business operations.
Under the direct leadership of Master Bosco Baek, we are seeking a highly capable, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented Executive Virtual Assistant / Operations Manager to streamline our administrative, payroll, and digital marketing workflows.
Key Responsibilities (Prioritized):
1. Zen Planner Administration & Kiosk Setup Support (Top Priority)
- Manage and monitor student profiles, attendance, and membership renewals via Zen Planner.
- Proactively resolve failed/declined credit card payments and communicate with members professionally using our templates.
- Future Kiosk Project: Research and assist the owner in deploying an iPad Attendance Kiosk at the gym entrance using Zen Planner’s official documentation and setup guides.
2. High-Quality Video Editing & Social Media Management (Weekly)
- Manage and schedule posts on our
- Content Creation: We do NOT use basic/amateur editing tools like CapCut or Canva. You must edit raw class and training footage (provided by the owner) into cinematic, high-quality Reels, Shorts, and TikTok videos using Adobe Premiere and advanced AI-driven video tools (such as Seyedance, Luma, or Runway).
- Monitor and professionally respond to routine client inquiries on Yelp, Google My Business, and social media DMs to book introductory classes.
3. Bi-Weekly Payroll & Monthly Newsletters
- Gusto Bi-Weekly Payroll: Every two weeks, collect working hours/classes from our part-time instructors, prepare the payroll run in Gusto, and submit it for the owner’s final approval.
- Monthly Newsletter: Draft and distribute a high-quality monthly community newsletter using GoDaddy to share academy updates, traditional Tai Chi history, and events.
4. Eventbrite Management (Monthly)
- Set up, manage, and promote our monthly workshops, seminars, or community events on Eventbrite.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Deep respect and passion for traditional martial arts (experience or background in martial arts/gym operations is highly preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and next-generation AI video generation/editing platforms (Seyedance, etc.). Capable of delivering cinematic, professional-grade social media content.
- Experience with Zen Planner (or similar martial arts/gym software like Mindbody, PushPress) is a significant advantage.
- Hands-on experience with US payroll systems, specifically Gusto (understanding bi-weekly payroll runs for 1099/W2).
- Impeccable, professional written and spoken English.
- High level of ownership, self-motivation, and absolute trustworthiness.
