JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing U.S. fractional CFO firm serving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other service businesses throughout the United States.

This is not a basic bookkeeping or data-entry role.

We are looking for someone who has supported multiple U.S. clients and enjoys solving accounting problems, not simply recording transactions.

If you've only handled one company's books or primarily entered transactions, this position is probably not a good fit.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Month-end close
• Full balance sheet reconciliations
• Researching and resolving accounting discrepancies
• Journal entries and accrual accounting
• Preparing accurate financial statements for CFO review
• Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has worked for a CPA firm, accounting firm, bookkeeping firm, or fractional CFO firm serving multiple U.S. clients
• Can independently reconcile an entire balance sheet
• Can investigate differences and explain what happened
• Has strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Understands accrual accounting and the month-end close process
• Communicates clearly in spoken and written English
• Enjoys asking questions and working through accounting problems with the team
• Communicates early when they're stuck instead of waiting until a deadline
• Takes ownership of their work and follows through on commitments
• Can clearly explain accounting issues and the steps they've taken to resolve them

This Position Is Probably Not Right For You If

• You have only worked for one company.
• Most of your experience is data entry, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.
• You struggle explaining accounting issues in English.
• You prefer waiting for instructions instead of researching and solving problems.

Schedule

Full-time only.

You must be available during U.S. Eastern business hours between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM EST.
