We're an AI-powered commercial law firm offering flat-fee legal services across 16+ jurisdictions. We're a fast-moving, tech-forward team looking for a detail-oriented freelance accountant to support our finance operations.

The Role
We're looking for a freelance accountant based in the Philippines with hands-on experience working with US-based clients or companies (US GAAP, US tax basics, or US bookkeeping platforms). You'll support day-to-day financial operations, invoicing, and reporting for a growing legal services business.

Responsibilities
-Manage bookkeeping and monthly reconciliations
-Support invoice review and monthly billing workflows
-Track discounted/pilot case financials and flag discrepancies
-Prepare financial reports and summaries for leadership
-Support US tax preparation and compliance tasks in coordination with US-based CPAs/tax counsel
-Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records

Requirements
-2+ years accounting/bookkeeping experience with US clients or US-based companies
-Familiarity with US accounting standards and common tools (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
-Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
-Excellent written English and async communication skills
-Highly organized, deadline-driven, comfortable working independently
-Based in the Philippines, reliable internet, available for overlapping US business hours (PST, partial overlap preferred)

Nice to Have
-Experience with legal industry billing/finance (law firm, legal ops, or professional services)
-Experience with flat-fee or subscription-based billing models
-Familiarity with fast-scaling startups

Engagement
-Freelance/contract basis with opportunities for full-time work (40 hours per week)
-Competitive rate based on experience
-Remote — work from anywhere in the Philippines

Rate:
$5-$7/hour depending on experience
