JOB OVERVIEW

About us:
We're Roberts & Lamb, a high-end residential interior design studio based in Utah with projects nationwide. We design beautiful, detailed homes for great clients, and we're growing. We're a small, tight team that cares deeply about craft and precision. You'd work directly with our principal and designers at their right hand — turning vision into clean, accurate drawings and buttoned-up spec packages.

What you'll do
- Drafting & drawing (the core of the role): produce clean, accurate floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings in AutoCAD and other tools; build 3D layouts and furniture space plans in SketchUp.
- Turn a designer's rough sketch or markup into a precise, scaled drawing.
- Build and maintain FF&E spec packages — schedules, spec sheets, product data — organized in spreadsheets, slides, and our project system.
- Create renderings and clean up client-facing presentation decks.
- Support sourcing: find product options, enter data, flag dimension/fit issues, handle reselections when items are out of stock.
- Keep files, schedules, and vendor trackers accurate and up to date.

This role runs on a ~4-hour daily overlap with US Mountain Time (about 10 PM–2 AM Manila); the rest of your hours are flexible. Please only apply if that works for you long-term.

Who you are
- Heavy drawing capability — this is the heart of the job. You are genuinely strong in AutoCAD and SketchUp and can prove it. (Revit and rendering tools like Enscape/V-Ray are a plus.)
- Technically skilled — comfortable across the design-production stack; Google Workspace; spreadsheets for specs; quick to learn our tools.
- Obsessively detail-oriented — dimensions are right, specs are complete, nothing is "close enough." You catch the small errors before anyone else does.
- A self-starter — give you a goal and context and you run with it. You make sensible calls when details are thin instead of freezing or waiting to be told.
- Sharp written English — you communicate clearly; you'll be collaborating live with the team.
- Interior design background — a design degree and real production experience at a design or architecture firm.

Why this is a good seat
- Real craft on beautiful projects, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the people who care equally about excellence.
- A team that values precision and treats you like part of it.
- Stable, long-term, full-time — we want someone for the long arc, with room to grow as we do.

Our process (so there's no guessing):
- Apply here, following the instructions below.
- If it's a potential fit, we send a short form (~10 minutes).
- Strong applicants get one short practical task (~45 minutes): a small drawing + spec exercise, plus a quick Loom walking us through it.
- A live interview with the team.
- Offer (we may start with a short paid trial project).

The whole thing is designed to be fast and respectful of your time. We tell you where you stand at each step.

How to apply — read this part carefully.
- Start your application with the exact phrase: "I draw with precision."
- In your first two sentences, confirm you can work the ~4-hour daily overlap (about 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM Manila) long-term, and tell us whether you've worked with a US team before and for how long.
- Then briefly answer: What's one drawing or spec package you're proud of — what made it good, and how did you make sure it was accurate?
- Tell us your specific experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp (what have you actually produced?), plus any Revit, rendering, or FF&E/spec experience.
- Include a link to your portfolio. We especially want to see technical work — floor plans, elevations, construction drawings, and spec/FF&E sheets — not only finished renders. If your best drafting samples aren't in your main portfolio, add a few.

Applications that don't begin with "I draw with precision." will not be read. We pay attention to detail, and so should you.
