Senior Adobe Photoshop Product Retoucher & Photo Editor

We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves Photoshop. If you enjoy taking an image from “good” to “indistinguishable from a professional commercial photograph,” you’ll fit right in.

We are a growing U.S. dairy company with multiple consumer brands seeking an exceptional Photoshop specialist for a long-term independent contractor relationship.

We care deeply about quality, realism, consistency, and attention to detail. Our goal is to create polished product imagery that looks as though it came directly from a professional commercial photo shoot.

This is an ongoing contractor opportunity with a consistent monthly workload. We are looking for someone interested in building a dependable, long-term working relationship—not completing occasional one-time projects.

What You’ll Do

You will transform raw product photography and existing creative assets into polished, production-ready imagery for digital and print marketing.

Projects may include:

High-end product photo retouching
Product cleanup and enhancement
Removing dust, scratches, glare, and imperfections
Label replacements
Packaging modifications
Creating new product or flavor variations
White-background e-commerce images
Product composites
Lifestyle composites
Background removal and replacement
Extending or rebuilding backgrounds
Color correction and precise color matching
Creating realistic shadows and reflections
Matching lighting, perspective, texture, and depth
Maintaining visual consistency across product lines
Preparing organized, layered Photoshop files
Advertising and marketing graphics
Print-ready assets
Preparing images for websites, Amazon, social media, retail advertising, and print

Most assignments will be completed in Adobe Photoshop.

You should enjoy perfecting an image and take pride in producing realistic, commercially polished work. You should be able to look at an edit critically and recognize when lighting, shadows, reflections, perspective, proportions, or color do not look natural.

Please provide a portfolio containing examples of commercial photo editing, product retouching, or advanced Photoshop compositing.

We are especially interested in seeing:

Product before-and-after examples
Packaging or label replacements
Realistic product composites
White-background product images
Food, beverage, cosmetics, or consumer-product work
Examples involving difficult lighting, shadows, reflections, or color matching

Portfolios focused primarily on logos, branding, basic social media templates, UI/UX, or general graphic design are unlikely to be a strong fit.

Contractor Arrangement

This is a long-term independent contractor opportunity with consistent assignments and monthly compensation.

You will:

Work remotely using your own computer, software, and workspace
Control your own working process and daily schedule
Be responsible for meeting agreed-upon deadlines
Submit completed work and organized source files
Be responsible for your own taxes and local business obligations

Compensation will be established as a monthly contractor fee based on experience, portfolio quality, availability, and the agreed scope of services.

Expected monthly contractor rate: $1,000–$2,000 USD.

Selected finalists will be invited to complete a paid Photoshop editing test using one of our actual product images.

Every candidate selected for the test will receive the same source materials and instructions so that submissions can be evaluated fairly. The test will assess:

Attention to detail
Color matching
Lighting and shadow consistency
File organization
Communication
Ability to follow directions

All finalists invited to complete the test will be compensated.
