JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a health and wellness ecommerce brand selling a physical product to customers in the US. We run paid video ads to long form video sales letters, and we are looking for a reliable editor to become our main person for all video creative.
Your main job is editing 5 minute VSLs (video sales letters) from scripts and footage we provide. We write all the scripts, so you can focus fully on the edit. This is a long term role with room to grow as we scale.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Edit 5 minute VSLs from a script plus provided and stock footage
Keep pacing tight using pattern interrupts, B roll and simple text animations
Add clean, easy to read captions (most of our audience watches on mobile with the sound off)
Source relevant stock footage and images
Follow our brand guidelines for fonts, colors and style (we provide these)
Deliver a steady stream of edits each week with quick revisions

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Real experience editing direct response ads or VSLs, not just weddings or travel videos
You understand what keeps people watching
Comfortable editing for an older audience (most of our customers are 55 and older, so clean and clear beats fast and flashy)
Use whatever editing software you are most comfortable with (Premiere, DaVinci, CapCut, Final Cut, all fine)
Good written English and easy to work with
Reliable, hits deadlines and takes feedback well
