We are looking for an experienced direct response copywriter to help us create high-volume, long-form
This is not a general content writing, social media management, or SEO role.
We need someone who understands how to write copy that sells.
The ads you will create are similar to:
* VSL scripts
* Advertorials
* Long-form
* Story-driven sales letters
* Direct response
* Native-style ads that look and read like real
Our ads are often 1,500–4,000 words and use storytelling, curiosity, fear, problem awareness, product education, objection handling, and a delayed product reveal to drive sales.
The writing needs to feel natural and believable, while still being built around strong direct response principles.
What You Will Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be researching, developing, and writing long-form direct response ads for our products.
You will:
* Write long-form
* Develop new hooks, leads, stories, angles, and mechanisms
* Turn winning concepts into multiple new variations
* Research the target audience, competitors, products, and market
* Review ad performance and use the data to guide future concepts
* Write advertorial-style and VSL-style copy when needed
* Improve existing winning ads without simply rewriting them
* Produce a consistent volume of high-quality new concepts every week
* Work closely with our creative strategy and media buying team
We will provide product information, previous winning ads, audience research, brand context, and feedback.
You must be able to take that information and turn it into persuasive copy without needing every sentence outlined for you.
What We Are Looking For
We care about experience and results much more than degrees or certifications.
The ideal candidate has:
* Real experience writing direct response copy
* Experience with e-commerce, supplements, survival, health, finance, information products, or another competitive direct response market
* Experience writing VSLs, advertorials, sales letters, long-form ads, or
* A strong understanding of hooks, leads, mechanisms, awareness levels, objections, offers, and calls to action
* The ability to make complicated product features easy to understand
* The ability to write like a real person instead of a polished corporate brand
* Strong research skills
* The ability to create many different angles without repeating the same story
* Experience using ad performance data to improve future copy
* Strong written English
* The ability to accept direct feedback and revise quickly
This Role Is Not a Fit If
Please do not apply if your experience is mainly:
* SEO blog writing
* Generic social media captions
* Corporate content
* Academic writing
* Branding without direct response
* AI-generated content with limited editing
* Graphic design without copywriting experience
* General marketing courses without proven campaign work
We use AI tools internally, and you may use them as part of your process.
However, we are not looking for someone who simply enters prompts and submits the first output.
You must understand direct response marketing well enough to judge, improve, and rewrite the copy yourself.
The Writing Style
Our best ads do not sound like traditional advertisements.
They often read like:
* A personal
* A confession
* A warning from a friend
* A story involving someone close to an industry or institution
* An advertorial with a strong narrative
* A VSL written in the voice of a normal customer
Pay & Perks
* Competitive pay based on skill, experience, and output
* Potential for raises and large bonuses based on ad performance
* Flexible working hours, but you must be responsive and meet deadlines
* Long-term opportunity to improve and grow with our team
How to Apply
Follow these exact instructions. Applications that do not follow this format will not be considered.
1. Tell me about your direct-response copywriting experience in 75 words or fewer. Do not include degrees, certifications, or unrelated experience.
2. Provide links to your two best direct-response ads, VSLs, advertorials, or sales pages. Briefly include any available performance results, such as ad spend, revenue, ROAS, CPA, or conversion rate.
3. Write one short, attention-grabbing hook for a one-gallon emergency water filtration system that works without power, batteries, pumping, or chemicals.
Do not provide any additional information unless asked.
If you pass the first stage, you will be given:
* A test task writing part of a long-form direct-response ad
* A final video interview before hiring
We are only looking for experienced direct-response talent. If you do not understand marketing, conversions, hooks, angles, VSLs, advertorials, and performance-driven copy, this role is not for you.
Looking forward to seeing your best work.
