Key Responsibilities
• Manage title files from report issuance through closing.
• Review title reports and identify outstanding title requirements and exceptions.
• Coordinate the clearance of title issues, including liens, judgments, mortgages, easements, and other
encumbrances.
• Obtain payoff letters, satisfactions, releases, affidavits, and other required documents.
• Communicate regularly with attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, clients, municipalities, and other
parties involved in the transaction.
• Follow up on outstanding requirements to ensure timely file clearance.
• Verify that all title conditions have been satisfied prior to closing.
• Maintain accurate file documentation and status updates.
• Coordinate with internal closing teams to ensure files are ready for settlement.
• Meet company turnaround times while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service.
Qualifications
Required
• Previous experience as a Title Coordinator, Title Clearance Officer, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience coordinating New York and New Jersey title files.
• Strong understanding of:
o Title reports and commitments
o Title exceptions and requirements
o Liens and judgments
o Mortgage payoffs and satisfactions
o Property ownership and recorded documents
o Real estate closing process
• Experience obtaining title clearance documentation.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred
• Experience using title production or title management software.
• Familiarity with TrackerPro or similar title software.
• Experience working with title agencies, settlement companies, or real estate law firms.
