JOB OVERVIEW

Basic Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
At least three years of experience in electrical construction cost estimation or quantity surveying
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Proficient in college-level mathematics
Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to meet or exceed assigned deadlines
Ability to adjust the level of estimating detail based on project requirements and deadlines
Advanced communication skills, including fluency in written and conversational English
Dedication to continuous learning and ongoing self-improvement
Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to solve problems and overcome challenges
Ability to interpret electrical plans, specifications, schedules, and technical drawings
Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for electrical systems, including:
Electrical service and distribution systems
Switchgear, switchboards, transformers, and panelboards
Branch circuits and power distribution
Interior and exterior lighting
Lighting controls
Emergency power and backup systems
Generators and automatic transfer switches
Fire alarm systems
Data and communication systems
Security and access-control systems
Grounding and lightning-protection systems
Electric vehicle charging systems
Low-voltage systems
Bonuses

Experience with U.S. electrical construction standards and practices
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
Experience using electrical estimating or quantity takeoff software
Experience with both new construction and renovation projects
Programming or computer science experience
Experience with conditional or Boolean logic
There will be an initial screening call followed by three rounds of interviews with members of the SegStream team in various roles.
