JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for an exceptional writer and substantive editor to help turn my ideas, frameworks, transcripts, and (most importantly) AI-assisted drafts into thoughtful, natural, engaging content for successful business owners.

This is not a proofreading position.

I am not looking for someone who simply corrects grammar, replaces a few words, or makes minor improvements to an existing draft. I need someone who is comfortable substantially rewriting content so it sounds like it was written by a thoughtful, experienced human rather than generated by AI.

The right person will be part editor, part ghostwriter, and part thinking partner.

You will receive strong source material, including:

* Complete ebook and article drafts
* Original frameworks and intellectual property
* YouTube transcripts
* Voice recordings
* Rough notes and outlines
* Examples of my natural speaking and writing style

Your job will be to turn that material into content that sounds clear, conversational, intelligent, specific, and genuinely human.

The content is written primarily for successful business owners between approximately 50 and 70 years old.

The writing should feel sophisticated enough for a successful founder but simple and conversational enough to be enjoyable to read

Your responsibilities may include:

* Substantially rewriting AI-assisted ebook chapters
* Turning rough ideas into polished long-form content
* Rewriting generic passages to make them specific and memorable
* Adding fictional founder examples and realistic scenarios
* Improving openings, transitions, pacing, and conclusions
* Removing repetition and unnecessary explanation
* Making financial and business concepts easier to understand
* Identifying sections that are weak, obvious, or underdeveloped
* Capturing my natural voice from recordings and transcripts
* Editing YouTube scripts, newsletters, articles, guides, and other content
* Maintaining consistency across longer manuscripts

You will have permission to change every sentence when necessary.

The objective is not to preserve as much of the original draft as possible. The objective is to produce the strongest finished piece.
The finished content should have:

* Natural variation in sentence length
* Concrete examples rather than generic statements
* Strong opinions and useful judgment
* Realistic founder concerns and tradeoffs
* Warmth without unnecessary sentimentality
* Authority without sounding academic
* Simple language without sounding simplistic
* Occasional personality and humor when appropriate
* Smooth transitions rather than formulaic headings
* Emotional insight grounded in real situations

The writing should not include:

* Obvious AI phrasing
* Repetitive summaries
* Unnecessary rhetorical questions
* Perfectly symmetrical lists in every section
* Generic motivational language
* Excessive use of words such as “navigate,” “journey,” “landscape,” “unlock,” or “transformative”
* Paragraphs that merely repeat the previous paragraph
* Surface-level word substitutions presented as editing

You must have excellent written English and a strong understanding of natural American business communication.

I am not looking for a general virtual assistant who also performs writing tasks. I am looking for someone whose primary professional strength is writing and editing.

Selected candidates will be offered a paid test.

The test will involve rewriting approximately ~1,000 words from an existing ebook chapter. The payment for the test will be $100 USD.

This is not a proofreading test.

You are encouraged to:

* Rewrite complete paragraphs
* Reorganize the section
* Remove weak material
* Add a fictional example
* Improve the voice and pacing
* Make the material more specific and engaging

You will submit:

1. A clean rewritten version
2. A version showing your changes
3. A short explanation of the most important editorial decisions you made

Candidates who perform well may be hired for the complete e-book and ongoing content work.
