About Taylor Contractors

Taylor Contractors is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing infrastructure companies, operating across Plumbing, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Traffic Management, Landscaping and Equipment Hire.

We are building a world-class in-house marketing department with documented systems, clear KPIs and scalable processes. Every website, campaign and SEO strategy follows our internal Taylor Contractors Business Operating System (TCBOS).

Currently we operate 10 regional websites across New Zealand, with continued expansion planned.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SEO Assistant to help grow the organic search presence of our Plumbing and Electrical businesses across New Zealand.

Working directly under our Marketing Manager, you will focus on creating high-quality SEO content and building authority through ethical backlink acquisition and local SEO.

This is not a technical SEO role.

Our Marketing Manager handles technical SEO, website architecture and strategy. Your role is to consistently execute content and off-page SEO activities to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
Off-Page SEO

Research high-quality backlink opportunities.

Build backlinks from reputable New Zealand websites.

Submit and manage local business citations.

Create and maintain directory listings.

Identify partnership opportunities.

Monitor backlink profiles.

Identify harmful backlinks for review.

Support Google Business Profile optimisation.

Maintain citation consistency across all websites.

Content Creation & On-Page SEO

Write SEO-optimised:

Service Pages
Location Pages
Blog Articles
Landing Page Content

Conduct keyword research.

Optimise:

Page Titles
Meta Descriptions
Headings
Internal Links

Update existing content.

Refresh outdated pages.

Ensure all content matches regional search intent.

Support website growth across all operating regions.
