We're H Grant Designs, a design studio built for service businesses. We help service-based companies show up looking polished and professional, and we're investing in Google Ads to bring in a steady flow of qualified leads — for our own studio first, and with room to grow into client work over time.
We're looking for a Google Ads specialist who lives in the platform and cares about one number above all: cost per qualified lead. This is an ongoing, long-term hourly role, not a one-and-done setup.
**What you'll do**
- Build, restructure, and optimize Google Ads campaigns (Search, and ideally Performance Max) focused on lead generation
- Own keyword research, audience targeting, negative keyword hygiene, and bid strategy
- Write and test ad copy, then iterate based on real performance data
- Set up and maintain conversion tracking (GA4 / Google Tag) so we can trust the numbers
- Run structured A/B tests and continuously optimize toward lower cost per lead
- Send a clear, plain-English weekly performance report: what happened, why, and what's next
**Must-have skills**
- Demonstrable hands-on experience managing Google Ads Search campaigns for lead generation
- Conversion tracking setup and troubleshooting (GA4, Google Tag Manager)
- Keyword research and search-term/negative-keyword management
- A/B testing of ad copy and landing experiences
- Clear written reporting — you can explain results to a non-technical owner
**Nice to have**
- Performance Max experience
- Landing page / conversion-rate optimization input
- Experience with service-business, agency, or design/creative clients
- Google Ads certification
**Engagement**
- Ongoing, hourly, long-term
**How to apply**
Please start your proposal with the word **"LEADS"** so I know you read this in full. Then, in a few sentences: (1) share one account you managed where you lowered cost per lead, with the rough before/after numbers, and (2) tell me the first thing you'd check in an account focused on lead generation. Generic, copy-paste proposals will be passed over.
