HR & Recruitment Officer
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive HR & Recruitment Officer to support recruitment and general HR operations for a growing education company.
The main focus of this role will be sourcing, screening, and coordinating the hiring process for tutor candidates. The successful candidate will also support employee records, contracts, onboarding, offboarding, leave and absence tracking, payroll coordination, and other day-to-day HR matters.
This role is suitable for someone who works in a structured and organized way, communicates professionally, handles confidential information responsibly, and can manage multiple recruitment and HR tasks independently.
This is a full-time remote position working with an international team.
Responsibilities
Recruitment
* Source tutor candidates through job boards, tutoring platforms, professional networks, referrals, and other relevant channels.
* Review applications and shortlist suitable candidates based on role requirements.
* Conduct initial screening interviews in English.
* Coordinate and schedule interviews, assessments, and mock lessons.
* Communicate with candidates through
* Monitor candidate responses and follow up when needed.
* Prepare clear screening summaries, interview notes, and hiring recommendations.
* Maintain an organized recruitment tracking sheet and update each candidate’s recruitment stage.
* Manage a structured recruitment funnel from application and screening through to offer and hiring.
* Support the preparation and communication of job offers and required hiring documents.
HR Administration and Employee Support
* Maintain and organize the employee database, personnel files, contracts, and other HR records.
* Ensure employee information and documentation are accurate, complete, confidential, and up to date.
* Prepare, issue, organize, and track employee contracts, renewals, and other employment-related documents.
* Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including collecting documents, arranging introductions, and supporting access to relevant systems and tools.
* Coordinate offboarding activities, including documentation, handovers, system access removal, and internal communication.
* Track important HR dates, including probation periods, contract expiry dates, renewals, and employee documentation deadlines.
* Maintain accurate leave and absence records, including annual leave, sick leave, unpaid leave, and other approved absences.
* Monitor leave balances and ensure leave requests and absences are properly documented and communicated to relevant tea
* Support payroll coordination by preparing and sharing accurate HR information, including new hires, salary changes, leave, absences, deductions, bonuses, contract updates, and employee departures.
* Review payroll-related HR data and ensure all required information is submitted accurately and on time.
* Follow up with employees, managers, and relevant tea
* Coordinate HR-related matters between employees, managers, and relevant tea
* Respond to general employee questions and provide day-to-day HR administrative support.
* Assist with HR policies, employee communications, performance documentation, and other HR processes.
* Support employee engagement, retention, and general team coordination when required.
* Carry out other recruitment, HR, and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
* Previous experience in recruitment, HR coordination, or HR administration.
* Experience sourcing, screening, and managing candidates through different recruitment stages.
* Experience maintaining employee records and supporting payroll coordination is preferred.
* Familiarity with leave, attendance, or absence tracking is an advantage.
* Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Comfortable conducting screening interviews in English.
* Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple candidates, employee records, documents, and deadlines.
* Comfortable handling confidential employee and candidate information.
* Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently without constant supervision.
* Strong follow-up skills and the ability to keep tasks moving.
* Experience working with an international or remote team is an advantage.
* Experience in the education or tutoring industry is an advantage but not required.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time remote position.
Working hours are:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Jakarta Time (GMT+7)
10:00 AM to 6:30 PM Philippines Time (GMT+8)
Candidates must be consistently available and fully committed during these working hours.
Compensation
* Fixed monthly salary.
* Performance bonus for each successful hire, subject to the company’s bonus conditions.

This role requires full-time commitment during the stated working hours.
