JOB OVERVIEW

I'm looking for a short-form video editor to help edit my personal brand content (main goal), with potential to help with UGC/brand work in the future if we work well together. This is a fully remote and ongoing role with consistent weekly volume.

About my ---------- on IG and TikTok (~12K followers across platforms). Ex-corporate girly who got laid off from her corporate job last year, and now documenting the journey publicly to pursue financial freedom outside a corporate 9-5 through content creation and entrepreneurship/self employment.

What you'll do:
- Edit short-form vertical videos (Reels, TikToks) between 30-90 seconds from raw footage + a detailed brief
- Follow a detailed brand guideline covering hook, transcript, text overlays, b-roll direction, visual element templates (fonts, colours, animations, sound effects combinations) for 90%, with the last 10% using your own judgement/style
- Must be able to have RELIABLE turnaround time of 24-48 hours, with 12-24 hours for revisions. Overly communicative, and proactive about any questions, blockers or unclear briefs. Communication through Slack.

Editing Style:
- No AI-stylized edits!!
- 80% talking head videos (one camera angle) with on-screen text with pacing, b-roll layering, overlays and sound design
- 20% storytelling videos (usually voiceovers) with DITL-style clips or b-roll montages. Consistent font/text style throughout.
- Edits should always add to the storyline/information provided, never the main star or distract.
- Review the last 30 days worth of videos on my page for visual references to editing style.

Compensation:
$15-$25 USD per short-form video, based on experience and level of direction required. Ongoing role with estimated 10-20 videos/month, with potential to ramp up volume with additional personal brand videos and UGC/brand work. Once ramped up, monthly retainer can be negotiated as a floor (ie. $500 USD minimum guaranteed work).
