• Experienced video editor (documentary style) for a German-language YouTube channel
• Remote · Long-term collaboration · Starts with a paid test edit
• 2 videos/week, ~$50 per video
--- About the channel:
- A German-language "faceless" YouTube channel covering a variety of topics.
- Goal: At least 2 videos per week once the workflow is established.
– Scaling while maintaining high quality.
- The videos must perform well—looking visually flawless isn't enough. High audience retention is a must.
--- What you receive fro
- A finished German script and voiceover guidelines.
- A structured briefing.
- B-roll footage is not provided—you source the stock footage yourself (e.g., via Pexels, Storyblocks).
--- What you deliver:
- Production of the German voiceover
- Complete video editing—strictly adhering to the script and briefing
- Selection and synchronization of B-roll footage—visual content must be precisely aligned with the commentary at all times.
- Animated overlays
- Music selection and mixing
– Video length: 9–12 minutes
--- Skills Requirement:
• Video Editing
• YouTube / Documentary Editing
• Storytelling / Pacing (Audience Retention)
The edit must feel like a documentary—not like a template or a mere slideshow.
--- Budget & Terms
- Start: Paid test edit—including briefing
- Compensation: ~$50 per video (fixed price)
- 2 videos per week
- Revisions: Max. 3 rounds >> the first version must already be of high quality!
--- What I am looking for
- I am not looking for a service provider for a one-off job, nor someone who requires constant micromanagement for every edit and fails to think proactively. - I am looking for a partner to take charge of visual storytelling and who has a feel for the pacing of documentary-style content.
- Long-term reliability and consistency matter more to me than a merely "polished" portfolio.
