Job type: Part-time to start (10–20 hrs/week), potential full-time for the right person
Salary: $800–$1,400/month full-time equivalent, negotiable based on proven results, or propose a per-store project fee
About the role
We run an e-commerce business that launches multiple online stores every month. Our Google Merchant Center accounts keep getting disapproved/suspended for Misrepresentation, and we need a specialist who can:
Diagnose exactly what is triggering the flags on our stores
Fix the root causes and get our accounts reinstated through Google's official review process
Build a pre-launch compliance checklist so every new store passes review the first time
What you'll do
Audit our stores and GMC accounts against Google's Misrepresentation policy and Shopping ads policies
Identify triggers: missing or inconsistent business/contact info, weak shipping and returns policies, unrealistic promotions, checkout/trust issues, domain or branding mismatches, thin About/policy pages, product feed mismatches
Implement fixes yourself or direct our store team on what to change
Prepare and submit account review requests and handle communication with Google support
Create a repeatable pre-launch compliance checklist and SOPs for every new store
Monitor account health across all stores and flag risks early
Keep us informed of Google policy changes that affect us
Requirements
Proven experience getting GMC accounts reinstated after Misrepresentation suspensions — you must show real examples (redact private/client info)
Deep working knowledge of Google Merchant Center, Shopping ads policies, and Google Ads
Experience with Shopify and/or WooCommerce store setups
Able to explain clearly, in writing, why an account was flagged and exactly what you changed
Strong written English, organized, self-directed
Nice to have
Experience managing GMC across multiple storefronts at the same time
Product feed tools (DataFeedWatch, Channable, or similar)
Google Search Console and basic landing page/conversion knowledge
How to apply
Start your application with the word GREENLIGHT so we know you read the full post. Then answer these three questions:
Describe ONE Misrepresentation suspension you personally resolved: what caused it, what you fixed, and how long reinstatement took.
How many GMC reinstatements have you handled in the last 12 months?
Your rate: monthly (state weekly hours) or a per-store project fee.
Shortlisted applicants get a paid trial task: audit one of our suspended stores and deliver a written action plan.
