I run a growing creative business in Canada, and I am looking for a smart, hungry, organized, and creative assistant to help me across several business projects.
The main business currently focuses on personalized gifts, party products, and corporate gifting. I am also working on other local and creative projects, including a local city newsletter and new business development ideas.
This is not a basic VA role.
I need someone who can help me research, organize ideas, use AI tools, create simple Canva visuals, find opportunities, prepare documents, organize information, and help turn messy ideas into clear next steps.
You do not need to be a senior manager.
But you must be sharp, reliable, teachable, proactive, curious, and willing to learn fast.
What You’ll Help With
- Researching local businesses, companies, events, competitors, products, suppliers, and opportunities
- Helping build lists of businesses we could pitch for corporate gifting
- Researching what types of gift packages would make sense for different industries
- Helping organize ideas for a local city newsletter, including content ideas, local businesses, events, community stories, and possible sponsors
- Using ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools to help with research, planning, writing, organizing, and brainstorming
- Creating simple Canva moodboards, visual references, product ideas, and presentation materials
- Helping organize my thoughts, notes, projects, and next steps
- Supporting product ideas, gift box ideas, marketing ideas, website ideas, and local business opportunities
- Helping me stay organized and move ideas into action
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who:
- Is early in their career but hungry to grow
- Has some remote work experience doing similar or related responsibilities
- Is organized and detail-oriented
- Can research properly and summarize findings clearly
- Can take information and turn it into useful recommendations
- Uses AI tools or is excited to become very good with them
- Has good taste and can recognize what looks clean, premium, and professional
- Is comfortable with light design work
- Can work with different types of tasks and projects
- Can take unclear instructions and still try to figure things out
- Communicates clearly and asks smart questions
- Is not afraid to do small admin tasks but also wants to grow into bigger responsibility

- I am looking for someone who can think, learn, organize, research, suggest ideas, and take ownership.
- This role may involve many different types of tasks. Some will be creative. Some will be research-heavy. Some will be admin. Some will involve helping me organize ideas that are still messy.
- The right person could grow over time into a bigger business operations or project support role.
