Job Title: US Mortgage & Commercial Loan Processing VA | Loan Officer Assistant
Job Description:
We are a growing commercial loan brokerage based in New York City, USA looking for an experienced or ambitious Loan Processing Virtual Assistant or Loan Officer Assistant with direct US mortgage or commercial lending experience.
This is a long-term, full-time remote position. We broker commercial loans including DSCR, bridge, hard money, and construction loans for US-based real estate investors and business owners. We need someone who is detail-obsessed, follows up relentlessly, and treats every loan file with accuracy and professionalism.
What You Will Do:
Loan Processing and File Management:
Borrower intake — collecting applications, documents, and supporting materials
Pipeline tracking — maintaining accurate and up-to-date loan file status
Document review — verifying completeness and accuracy of income docs, bank statements, credit reports, appraisals, rent rolls, and entity documents
Condition clearing — tracking outstanding lender conditions and chasing borrowers and third parties for outstanding items
File organization — maintaining audit-ready, organized loan files at all times
Initial disclosure support and lender submission coordination
Lender and Borrower Communication:
Professional written communication with US lenders and borrowers
Follow-up
Lender portal navigation and submission support
Coordinating with title companies, appraisers, and attorneys as needed
Commercial Loan Products:
Supporting DSCR loan files — rent rolls, lease agreements, property financials
Supporting bridge loan files — exit strategies, property valuations, draw schedules
Supporting construction loan files — draw requests, inspection coordination, budgets
Supporting hard money files — asset documentation and property analysis
CRM and Pipeline Management:
Maintaining accurate pipeline data in CRM
Daily status updates on all active files
Reporting on pipeline volume and file status to ownership
You Are a Strong Fit If You Have:
2+ years of US residential or commercial mortgage experience — you have processed real loan files
Experience reviewing income documentation — W2, 1040, paystubs, bank statements, rent rolls, business returns
Strong written English — you will communicate professionally with US lenders and borrowers daily
High attention to detail and accuracy — errors in loan files have real consequences
Ability to work ET or EST-adjacent hours
Reliable internet — minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload
Strongly Preferred:
Strong English skills
Good DISC Personality Test
Experience with DSCR, bridge, hard money, or construction loans
Experience working directly with a US mortgage broker
Knowledge of commercial real estate lending guidelines
Experience with title, appraisal, and closing coordination
