We are looking for an experienced Playwright QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team and help build a professional automated testing framework for our SaaS platform.
Our platform is an AI-powered CRM and job management platform for trade and service businesses. It includes customer management, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, inventory, AI tools, OCR, reporting, staff management, payments and much more.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys building high-quality automation frameworks and improving software quality.
About the Role
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a complete Playwright automation framework that grows alongside our platform.
Your work will help ensure every software release is thoroughly tested before it reaches our customers.
Responsibilities
Design and build a complete Playwright testing framework.
Create end-to-end automated tests for all major platform features.
Develop reusable Page Object Models (POM).
Build regression testing suites.
Create automated API tests where appropriate.
Test desktop, tablet and mobile layouts.
Produce clear bug reports with screenshots, videos and logs.
Document the testing framework so it is easy to maintain.
Work closely with our development team to improve software quality.
Continuously improve test coverage as new features are released.

Skills & Experience Required
Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Playwright
TypeScript or JavaScript
API testing
Git/GitHub
CI/CD knowledge
Experience testing SaaS applications
Excellent problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Good written and spoken English
Ability to work independently
Experience with CRM software or AI-based platforms is highly desirable.

Interview Process
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a 10–15 minute video interview.
During the interview you will:
Share your screen.
Demonstrate a Playwright project you have personally built.
Explain your testing structure and framework.
Walk us through your Page Object Model.
Explain how you organise reusable tests.
Answer a few technical questions.
We are looking for someone with genuine hands-on experience who can confidently explain and demonstrate their work.
Paid Trial
Successful applicants will complete a paid trial before any long-term offer is made.
The trial will involve approximately 8–16 hours of work on a staging version of Seama.
During the trial you will:
Set up the Playwright framework.
Build several automated end-to-end tests.
Create reusable Page Object Models.
Generate Playwright HTML reports.
Record test videos.
Capture screenshots for failed tests.
Document any bugs or improvement opportunities you discover.
The paid trial allows both you and our team to ensure we are a good long-term fit.
