Your role:
We are looking for someone who can support our Local SEO efforts on behalf of our Funeral Home clients. This is someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and ready to grow their SEO skills while contributing real value to our clients’ accounts. You will be working closely with our other SEO specialist and reporting directly to me (a FirstCall Marketing Founder).

1. Skills Evaluation:
• I am going to ask you to prepare a sample SEO strategy for a Funeral Home. I will use one of our clients: Monarch Funeral Home of Margate Florida. The plan will be a breakdown of how you would go about improving this Funeral Home’s SEO, including tools you would use, actions you would take, etc. This plan can be simple or comprehensive, depending on the effort you want to put in.
• Why am I going to ask for this? This skills evaluation will help me quickly see your thinking process and potential, even if you’re still building your expertise.
2. A Loom Video introducing yourself and walking me through your sample SEO strategy.
• Why am I going to ask for this? It helps me see your ability to communicate and your English proficiency.
Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be implementing our SEO strategy through hands-on publishing and execution work, including:
• Publishing SEO content (blog posts, articles, service pages) to client websites
• Optimizing and posting updates to Google Business Profiles (GBPs)
• Managing citations and directory listings
• Executing on-page website optimization tasks
Beyond execution, you’ll also:
• Assist in auditing current SEO portfolio strategy and help identify improvements
• Coordinate with other Tea
• Learn and stay current on SEO best-practices to help keep our services up to date and high-value for clients
• Work with teammates to ensure that SEO efforts connect with strong reporting to clients, for maximal client experience
• Help with additional tasks that the company may need. This may require learning new skills and stretching out of your comfort zone
This role is a great fit for someone who wants to build real SEO expertise by getting hands-on with client accounts, with room to grow into more strategic responsibilities over time.
Job Details:
• Time Commitment: 40-45 Hours / Week. We are only looking for a full time tea
• Fully Remote
• Working Hours: Our business operates on US Mountain Standard Time, and the expectation for this role will most likely be to work MT hours. In some cases we may have flexibility to shift hours later depending on the person and the needs of the team, but candidates should apply expecting to work MT hours.
Skills Qualifications:
• Some exposure to Local SEO or digital marketing (coursework, internships, personal projects, or entry-level experience all count)
• Willingness to learn SEO tools and best-practices quickly
• Solid English: You will be coordinating with the team, as well as building out English based SEO content, so English will be essential for your success here
