JOB OVERVIEW

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled analyst to build and maintain advanced reporting systems supporting referral tracking, clinician productivity, utilization review, and revenue metrics. This role also involves direct communication with clinicians regarding their quality and productivity metrics. This is a strategic analytics role — not an administrative or data-entry position — ideal for someone who thrives in Excel at an expert level, has a strong foundation in healthcare data, and communicates comfortably with clinical staff.
Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain complex Excel-based reporting systems (dashboards, automated trackers, linked workbooks)
Pull, clean, and analyze data from EHR/practice management systems
Develop monthly analytics on referral trends, clinician productivity, utilization review outcomes, and revenue performance
Track authorization statuses, session limits, and concurrent review deadlines to support timely utilization review submissions
Communicate directly with clinicians regarding their productivity and quality metrics, following up as needed to address gaps or trends
Identify data inconsistencies and recommend process improvements
Present findings in clear, digestible formats for clinical and administrative leadership
Maintain data integrity and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA

Required Qualifications:

Expert-level Excel skills (VBA, Power Query, advanced formulas, dashboard design)
Demonstrated experience building complex, automated Excel systems (not just basic spreadsheets)
Strong SQL skills or equivalent database querying experience
Prior data analysis experience within a healthcare setting
Familiarity with utilization review workflows (authorizations, medical necessity criteria, payer review cycles)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience relaying performance metrics to staff
Understanding of behavioral health billing/claims data a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Python or R for data processing
Familiarity with AdvancedMD or similar healthcare practice management platforms
Background in revenue cycle, clinical operations, or utilization management analytics
Prior experience in a clinician-facing or supervisory-adjacent role
