ABOUT US
We are Lasso Oil & Gas, a Dallas, Texas-based mineral and royalty acquisition company. We already employ several full-time tea ---------- mbers in the Philippines and pay in USD, on time, every time, via Wise. This is a long-term, permanent seat working directly with the company principals — not an agency posting.
THE ROLE
You will research Texas mineral and royalty ownership: building runsheets from county records, tracing chains of title, running old royalty and mineral reservations forward to today's owners, and calculating exact fractional interests and net mineral acres. Your findings directly drive what we buy. The work is investigative — a big part of the job is finding valuable interests in old records that everyone else missed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Build runsheets and chains of title from online county records
Trace mineral reservations, NPRIs, and royalty deeds forward through probates, heirships, and conveyances to current owners
Calculate fractional interests, net mineral acres (NMA), and net revenue interest (NRI) — exactly, not approximately
Verify lease status and held-by-production (HBP) status using Texas Railroad Commission data
Flag title defects and recommend curative steps
Work with Enverus and similar data platforms (we train on our tools)

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Backgrounds that fit: landman or landman assistant, title abstractor/searcher, title examiner, real estate paralegal, probate/heirship researcher, or similar US records work
Direct oil and gas mineral title experience is a major PLUS — but not required
What IS required: strong US records/title fundamentals and the ability to learn mineral concepts fast — we train the oil and gas side
Careful, exact, and honest: you show your math, you document your sources, and you say "undetermined" instead of guessing
Strong written English

OUR PROCESS

Qualified candidates complete a short PAID test project (a fictional Texas tract — a few hours of work, flat fee paid within 24 hours of delivery, regardless of outcome).

TERMS
Full-time, long-term, exclusive (no other jobs or clients). US Central time overlap required for part of your day; the rest is flexible/asynchronous. Independent contractor agreement, paid in USD via Wise. We will beat your current rate for the right person.
