JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor & Business Content Specialist - LinkedIn, X & YouTube

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Video Editor and Business Content Specialist to turn long-form podcast and interview recordings into polished content for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.

This is more than an uploading role. You’ll help transform each recording into a coordinated collection of long-form videos, short clips, written posts, captions, and conversation starters.

Our goal is not simply to post as much content as possible. We want to grow a relevant business audience, start meaningful conversations, and build an engaged community around our work.

Primary Responsibilities

Edit long-form podcast and interview recordings from Riverside

Improve pacing, audio, transitions, and overall presentation

Create short-form video clips from longer recordings

Add accurate captions, titles, graphics, and visual elements

Prepare and publish full videos and Shorts on YouTube

Write professional LinkedIn posts based on each recording

Create concise, conversational posts and threads for X

Adapt the message and format for each platform rather than copying identical posts everywhere

Write titles, descriptions, calls to action, and other supporting copy

Identify strong insights, quotes, and ---------- nts that can become standalone content

Schedule approved content according to the content calendar

Monitor comments and relevant conversations

Draft thoughtful responses for review when the response should come directly from the creator

Organize source files, finished content, post copy, and published links

Track basic performance and recommend what we should create more—or less—of

Primary Platforms

Our current priorities are:

LinkedIn

YouTube

X

We may experiment with other platforms, such as Instagram or TikTok, when the content and audience justify it. However, quality, relevance, and community engagement on our primary platforms come first.

What Community Building Means to Us

We are not looking for someone who posts content and immediately moves on to the next task.

The right person will help us:

Create posts that invite genuine discussion

Notice recurring questions and audience interests

Surface people and conversations worth responding to

Turn audience questions into future content ideas

Maintain a consistent and recognizable publishing style

Learn from performance without chasing meaningless views

Prioritize relevant engagement, returning viewers, and valuable conversations

Who We’re Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:

Have professional video-editing experience

Understand long-form video and short-form repurposing

Have strong written English

Can write naturally for a professional or business audience

Understand that LinkedIn, X, and YouTube require different approaches

Can identify the strongest ideas within a long conversation

Have excellent attention to detail

Communicate clearly when something is missing or unclear

Can follow a workflow while also recommending improvements

Take ownership of content through final publication

Are comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions

Experience with business, podcast, educational, insurance, technology, or professional-services content is especially valuable.

Tools

Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:

Riverside

Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut

YouTube Studio

LinkedIn

X

Canva

Google Drive or Dropbox

Content calendars or project-management systems

How to Apply

Please provide:

A brief introduction explaining your relevant experience.

Links to two or three videos you personally edited.

An example of a short clip you created from a longer recording.

An example of business or professional social-media copy you wrote.

The editing and publishing tools you use.

Your expected compensation and weekly availability.

The words “Business Content” at the beginning of your application.

A short explanation of how you would turn one 45-minute business interview into content for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.

Shortlisted applicants may be invited to complete a small paid exercise using a sample recording.
