JOB OVERVIEW

AUDIOBOOK PRODUCTION SPECIALIST (PART-TIME, ROOM TO GROW)

$400-$500/month to start — part-time, with room to grow into a bigger role for the right person. Fully remote. Long-term.

We are an established audiobook publisher with a large and growing catalog on major platforms. We use modern AI tools throughout our production process. We're looking for one exceptional person to join us long-term and grow with the business.

This is NOT a short project or a task-based gig. We are hiring a core tea ---------- mber. The role starts part-time so we can get to know each other, and for the right person it grows into a bigger role with real responsibility and pay increases as you take on more.

=====================
WHAT YOU'LL DO
=====================

You'll own the production pipeline that turns finished manuscripts into published audiobooks. Starting responsibilities:

• Quality-check audiobook files before publication (listening for errors, glitches, mispronunciations, missing sections)
• Review and prepare metadata (titles, descriptions, categories, series info) with zero mistakes
• Upload audio files and metadata to our distribution platform
• Track titles through our production pipeline in Notion and keep everything organized
• Flag and log errors clearly so they get fixed fast

As you learn our systems, the role grows into:

• Making audio corrections yourself in our AI narration software (we'll train you — no experience needed)
• Preparing manuscripts for audio production
• Creating and improving audiobook covers
• Drafting titles and descriptions for new books
• Whatever else the business needs — we're a small operation, and the right person will end up touching many parts of the business over time. We're looking for someone who wants that.

=====================
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
=====================

• EXTREMELY DETAIL-ORIENTED. This is the #1 requirement. A single published mistake stays public forever. If spotting the one wrong thing in a wall of correct things sounds satisfying to you, you'll like this job.

• EXCELLENT WRITTEN ENGLISH. You'll be reviewing English-language books and metadata.

• A FAST LEARNER WITH MODERN TOOLS. You don't need audiobook or publishing experience. You DO need to be comfortable learning new software quickly. If you already use AI tools, tell us.

• RELIABLE AND CONSISTENT. You show up when you say you will, meet deadlines, and communicate early if something's in the way. We take care of people who take care of us.

• A SELF-STARTER. When something looks off, you say so — even if nobody asked.

• Bonus (not required): you love books or audiobooks.

To show us you read carefully, please start your application with the word MANUSCRIPT — applications that don't will not be read.

=====================
WORK SETUP
=====================

Fully remote — work from home. All you need is a reliable computer, good headphones, and a stable internet connection.

=====================
PAY AND GROWTH
=====================

• Starting: $400-$500/month, paid reliably
• Real growth path — pay and responsibility increase as you take on more
• This is meant to be a role you keep for years, with pay that grows as you do

=====================
HOW TO APPLY
=====================

1. Start your application with the word specified above.

2. Tell us in 3-5 sentences why this role fits you. No copy-paste templates — we can tell.

3. Tell us about one time you caught a mistake that other people missed. Any context — work, school, anything.

4. List any experience with: project management tools (like Notion), audio editing, AI tools, or publishing. Even if your AI experience is just ChatGPT or Claude, that counts — tell us. It's fine if you have none of these — say so honestly.

5. Tell us your weekly availability (days and hours) and what kind of workload you're looking for.

Shortlisted candidates will be given a PAID trial task (a realistic sample of the actual work) before any final decision. We respect your time and pay for it. If you're shortlisted, you'll hear from us.
