CooperBuild is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Remote Bookkeeper with a strong background in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project-based accounting, and managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, bills, and payment records
Process payroll and maintain accurate employee time and compensation records
Track project expenses, job costs, vendor transactions, and subcontractor payments
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized financial records
Assist with monthly closing, budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial reporting
Review and organize receipts, vendor documents, payroll records, and compliance files
Coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal tea
Monitor outstanding balances and assist with payment follow-ups
Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative support to management as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience
Previous bookkeeping experience in the construction industry is required
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Strong knowledge of job costing, payroll processing, invoicing, and contractor billing
Experience handling vendor invoices and subcontractor payments
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Reliable computer and internet connection
Availability to work during U.S. business hours
