THE ROLE IN 30 SECONDS

We build real AI products for the Australian market - construction estimating, property inspection, marketing automation - and we build them the modern way: agentic development. We don't hand-code line by line. We architect systems and orchestrate AI coding agents (Claude Code) to ship production software fast.

We're hiring an AI Engineer who lives in that workflow: someone who builds entire platforms by directing AI agents, and who owns the CI/CD and cloud ops to ship and run them. You take a product end-to-end - architect it, build it agentically, deploy it, keep it live.

On-site in Davao. Full-time. If you ship 3x through AI leverage and know your way around CI/CD, Docker and AWS - keep reading.

Loopsmiths is an AI venture studio in Davao building software for Australian customers. We ship products people actually pay for - not staff-aug or body-shop work. Claude Code and agentic development are how a small team moves this fast - it's core to how we work, not a gimmick.

HOW WE BUILD (read this - it IS the job)

We build with agentic development. You architect the system, spec the work, and orchestrate AI coding agents (Claude Code) to write, test and refactor it - then you review, harden and ship. The skill isn't typing code; it's directing AI to produce production-grade software, and having the judgment to know when it's right and when it's wrong.

If you already build this way, you'll thrive here. If you still hand-code everything manually, this isn't the role.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
===============
- One product end-to-end: architect it, build it agentically, ship it, run it. First mission: get QuoteSmith launch-ready.
- CI/CD: pipelines, automated testing, safe fast deploys.
- Cloud ops: AWS / cloud infrastructure, Docker, VPS, environments, secrets, monitoring - you own how it runs in production.
- Reliability: no lead or trial ever silently lost - webhook retries, first-party capture, fallbacks.
- Reusable agentic + infra patterns, documented, so the next product spins up fast.

MUST-HAVE
=========
- Agentic development mastery: you build production software by orchestrating AI coding agents (Claude Code or equivalent), not hand-coding line by line. Show us what you've shipped this way.
- Strong architecture + system-design judgment - you can direct the agents because you know what good looks like and can spot when the AI is wrong.
- CI/CD: pipelines, automated testing, safe deploys.
- Cloud ops / DevOps: AWS (or strong cloud equivalent), Docker, deployment, environments, secrets, monitoring/alerting.
- Full-stack fluency across our stack: Next.js / React / TypeScript, FastAPI / Python, PostgreSQL / Supabase.
- LLM integration in production: Claude API, structured output, cost/latency control.
- Ships fast and reviews rigorously - high output through AI leverage, high standards on what actually merges.
- Strong written English + documentation discipline - our Australian side has to trust your updates.
- Based in / able to commute daily to Davao City for on-site work. Non-negotiable.
