About BIWE

BIWE is a global personal and professional development platform connecting ambitious individuals through media, technology, events, and community. Our ecosystem includes:

Inspiration & Success Magazine (quarterly print + digital, ~5,000 readers across Lagos, Houston, London, Manila, and Nairobi — coaches, HR leaders, and managers)
BIWE App
BIWE Podcast
BIWE Events
Newsletter & Community

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping a growing brand expand its reach. This is not an administrative or coordinator role. Your primary focus is business growth — advertising sales, partnerships, and magazine distribution — with light reporting to keep everything organized.

What You'll Do

Advertising & Sponsorship Sales (Primary Focus — this is how you earn commission)

Prospect and contact potential advertisers daily via email, LinkedIn, and phone — target industries include financial institutions, coaching companies, universities, HR tech, wellness brands, professional services, real estate, and corporate organizations.
Present BIWE advertising opportunities and sponsorship packages (print, digital, App, newsletter, event sponsorships).
Follow up consistently to move opportunities through the pipeline.
Secure advertising commitments and coordinate deposit collection ahead of print deadlines.
Introduce cross-platform upsells (e.g., adding a BIWE App banner alongside a print ad).

Partnerships & Business Development

Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that expand BIWE's visibility (e.g., content/promotion swaps with aligned newsletters or brands).
Build relationships with organizations, associations, and brands.
Source potential contributors and collaborators for the magazine, app, podcast, and events.

Magazine Distribution

Secure premium distribution locations — airports, hotels, spas, coworking spaces, universities, executive lounges, bookstores, wellness centers.
Build and maintain a distribution database, and coordinate placement confirmations where applicable.
Use distribution wins as leverage in advertising conversations ("We're placed at Soho House — your ad belongs there too").

Reporting & Organization
Maintain an accurate CRM/Google Sheet: company, contact, status, value, deadline.
Send a short weekly progress update (outreach, deals in motion, distribution wins, next steps).
Keep follow-ups organized so no opportunity gets lost. This is an expectation of the role — not a condition of commission, which is earned on closed and paid advertising regardless of reporting status.

What We're Looking For

You've personally closed deals before. When you apply, tell us: who you sold to, what you sold, and roughly how much. "I assisted with sales" doesn't answer this — we want to hear about deals you drove yourself.
Comfortable and confident emailing or calling a CEO or business owner directly — no generic scripts.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Proactive and resourceful — you treat "no" as information, not rejection, and know that consistent volume (calls, emails, follow-ups) is what produces yeses.
Deadline-driven — when a print or campaign deadline is approaching, you follow up as many times as it takes.
Comfortable working independently and communicating async — replies to a WhatsApp or email update within a reasonable window during your working hours.
Familiar with LinkedIn, email outreach, Google Workspace, and CRM tools. Experience with Apollo or similar prospecting tools is a plus.
Understands B2B value — you can explain why a bank or coaching brand would pay for a back-cover ad or premium placement, not just how to send a rate card.

Success in This Role

Advertising revenue closed (this is the core metric — and how your commission is earned).
Qualified advertising opportunities generated and moved through the pipeline.
New partnership opportunities secured.
Premium distribution locations added.
Accurate, consistently updated CRM with no dropped follow-ups.

Compensation Details

Base pay: $5–$7 USD/hour, paid [weekly/bi-weekly/monthly — confirm cadence].
Commission: 15% of closed and collected advertising revenue, paid [on deposit / on full payment — confirm which].
This is a [contractor / part-time employee] position.
Realistic first-90-day expectations will be discussed and set together during onboarding, based on current pipeline and lead sources available to you.

Why Join BIWE?

You'll be joining an ambitious, growing international brand with room to make a direct, visible impact. As BIWE expands across media, technology, and events, this role offers a genuine path to take on more ownership and responsibility as revenue grows.
