About The Role
Join our hotel in Santa Barbara as a Remote Receptionist and Customer Service Representative! We're looking for a detail-oriented, professional who will be the welcoming voice of our hotel. You'll manage reservations, respond to guest inquiries, coordinate schedules, and deliver exceptional service to ensure every guest experience is memorable. This is a key position that directly impacts our guests' first impressions and overall satisfaction.
What You'll Do
Manage incoming calls,
Process and confirm hotel reservations using our booking system
Coordinate guest schedules, special requests, and check-in/check-out logistics
Maintain accurate guest records and databases in Google Workspace
Answer questions about room types, amenities, local attractions, and services
Handle billing inquiries and payment processing
Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns
Manage the hotel's calendar and coordinate with tea
Requirements
Fluency in English – Excellent verbal and written communication skills (local and international guests)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred
Experience: Proven experience in a hotel, resort, hospitality, or customer service role (minimum 4 years preferred)
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs); hotel reservation software or similar booking systems
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in booking appointments, dates, guest information, and payment records
Organization & Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple reservations, inquiries, and tasks simultaneously without errors
Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines consistently
Flexibility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; willingness to adapt to changing priorities
Team Player & Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with hotel staff across departments
Professionalism: Polished demeanor, patience with guests, and commitment to providing five-star service
Computer Literacy: Comfortable learning new software quickly; basic troubleshooting skills
Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and creative solutions to guest requests and scheduling conflicts
Available for occasional flexibility – May include early mornings, late evenings, or weekend shifts depending on hotel operations
